apple overnight oats

Easy overnight oats infused with the flavors of apple pie! Naturally sweetened, cinnamon-infused, and just 9 wholesome ingredients required. Perfect for fall and beyond!

Apple Pie Overnight Oats

cinnamon

maple syrup

sea salt

almond milk ((or sub other dairy-free milk of choice))

Tbsp chia seeds

tsp cinnamon

Tbsp creamy unsalted cashew or almond butter

tsp vanilla extract

rolled oats ((certified gluten-free as needed))

APPLES: To a small saucepan, add chopped apples, cinnamon, maple syrup, and salt and mix to evenly distribute the cinnamon.

Turn heat on low and cover. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until the apples are soft and tender. Remove the lid, turn the heat up to medium, and cook for 2-3 more minutes, stirring constantly, to evaporate some of the juices and create a nice syrup around the apples. Once most of the liquid is gone, turn off the heat and set aside.

OATS: In a small bowl or liquid measuring cup, mix the almond milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, cinnamon, nut butter, and vanilla. Add the oats and stir until well-combined.

Get two small mason jars or small bowls with lids. Place about a quarter of the cooked apple mixture into the bottom of each container, add half the oat mixture to each as your middle layer, then divide and place the rest of the cooked apples on top of the oats. Place in the refrigerator overnight, or for at least 6 hours.

Enjoy chilled or at room temperature. Overnight oats will keep in the refrigerator for 2-3 days, though best within the first 12-24 hours in our experience. Not freezer friendly.

My recipe for filling and flavorful apple cinnamon overnight oats will keep you satisfied all morning long! Made with old fashioned rolled oats, Greek yogurt, applesauce, diced apple and almond butter, they're packed with protein, fiber, and healthy fats for staying power. Yields 2 servings.

Higher-Protein Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats

fine sea salt

vanilla almond milk

plain Greek yogurt

applesauce

almond butter

tsp pure maple syrup

apple, diced small (I like Fuji or Honeycrisp)

ginger

Place all ingredients except apple in a mixing bowl or large liquid measuring cup. Whisk to combine.

Stir in apples. Taste and add any additional sweetener to taste. Portion into 2 jars or containers. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.

Stir before eating and enjoy cold out of the fridge with extra apples, cinnamon and a drizzle of almond butter or chopped toasted nuts! Store in the fridge for up to 5 days (the apple even stays crisp! ).

I absolutely love fall flavors, overnight oats, and texture, so this hits all of those for me! I highly recommend this recipe.

I love this recipe. Easy to prep the night before and SUPER delish and filling. A nourishing healthy breakfast that starts my day off full of energy to tackle my to-do list! :)) HIGHLY recommend. This recipe is a repeat for my meal prep.

I made these last night and enjoyed them this morning. So good! The perfect fall bite. My four year old loved them too!

WOWWWWWW, this is SO tasty! The perfect amount of apple flavor without being overpowering. Swapped the Greek yogurt for 2 tbsp of chia seeds & it was still super filling.

Topped with a little pumpkin yogurt at work & it was heavenly. Will be making again!

This recipe is excellent, I'd eat it nearly every day if I could. Made it for the first time this week and was very impressed with both flavor and texture. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

Soooo yummy! Love to grab these on my way to work!

I love this overnight oat variation for fall! I usually quadruple the recipe (not kidding) so my husband and I can enjoy all week! Delicious and filling :)

These oats are so flavorful ! The texture with the crunchy apples the perfect way to start the day!! These will definitely be in my rotation!! So glad it makes 2 servings and I already have some for tomorrow made !

I really liked this recipe! It is such a good change-up to normal overnight oats to make something more fun and seasonal this month. I doubled the recipe and it was so easy and quick to make four make-ahead breakfasts. It is also extra filling with Greek yogurt and peanut butter, etc. I will absolutely be making this recipe again!

So good and perfect for fall and apple season.. I love making these ahead and even my toddler loves them!

Made this today it was delicious. A little thick so I will add just a little more milk next time.

Fall’s best flavor and THE APPLE STAYS CRUNCHY!!! So yummy and satisfying to eat.

So yummy and made my morning the next day much less stressful. I didn’t have any applesauce, so I ended up blending 1 small chopped apple in my vitamix, and blended all the other ingredients except apple and chopped oats at the same time. My husband and 8 month old also loved it!

The only thing I didn't adhere to was adding applesauce. I also warmed it in the microwave before eating. Sooo delicious!!

I was wondering if you could use premier protein drink in it and leave out yogurt and almond milk ?

So yummy! Will be making again and again! Had a friend in town and now she's making them too :)
