salt

sugar

unsalted butter (1 1/2 sticks) – room temperature

eggs – room temperature

lemon zest

vanilla

buttermilk (scant 1 cup of milk with 1 tablespoon vinegar)

blueberries –

*This will keep the berries from sinking to the bottom of pan while baking.

*Frozen berries can also be used.

Sour Cream Icing:

butter – softened

sour cream

lemon juice

confectioners sugar
