Bean and Cheese Burritos

BUSH’S® Traditional Refried Beans

chunky salsa

onion, (diced)

smoked paprika

garlic powder

kosher salt, (plus more to taste)

black pepper

cheddar cheese

monterey jack cheese

(10-inch) flour tortillas ((often referred to as “burrito-sized”))

Heat oven to 375°F. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

In a medium bowl, add refried beans, salsa, onions, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt and black pepper. Stir until well combined. Taste and season with more salt if desired.

In another medium bowl, add shredded cheddar cheese and monterey jack cheese. Toss together to combine.

Spread 1/4 cup of the shredded cheese mixture onto the center of the tortilla. Then spread 1/2 cup of the bean mixture on top of the shredded cheese.

Fold the bottom edge of each tortilla up and over the filling. Then fold in the sides and finish by rolling the tortilla up from the bottom.

Transfer the burritos to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes.

Serve with guacamole, sour cream, and your favorite hot sauce.

Start by warming the refried beans. Warm refried beans by heating them in a small saucepan on the stove or in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave.

Warm tortillas by placing one on a microwave safe plate and microwave for 15 seconds. If you would like to warm them all at once, wrap a stack of tortillas in foil and heat in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Place tortilla on a plate. Spoon warmed refried beans down the center of the tortilla. Add finely diced onion.

Add shredded cheese and finish with your favorite taco sauce.

Mix the chili powder, dried onion, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne, and paprika in a small bowl and set aside.

Place the onions in a nonstick pan and cook until fragrant.

Add the fire roasted tomatoes, continue to cook for 5 minutes.

Add the beans and seasoning mixture.

Cook until the beans are heated.

Place the bean mixture and rice in a tortilla. Top with romaine, tomato, avocado, and taco sauce.
