Creamy Three-Cheese Spaghetti

I made this tonight for the grandkids! It was a hit. I used butter and olive oil to sauté the garlic in and I used more chicken broth rather than more pasta water for more flavor. I also added fresh chopped chives and  chopped parsley.

We make this all the time but I never add the pasta water. Once my noodles are cooked, I use chicken broth to keep them from sticking while I make the sauce. I also use Italian and parmesan cheese to the sauce to thicken it up, this also give it's more flavor. For mom and dad, I add either shrimp or chicken and then sprinkle the dish with Cajun seasoning. Yummy!!!!

As others have said, it's too watery. It would probably be fine without the pasta water, but I'd keep some on hand just in case. I did accidentally use 16oz of pasta instead of 12oz, so more cheese was needed to thicken it up and give it a slightly cheesy taste. It is bland, but I added garlic salt and black pepper. It's a light tasting pasta, but very filling and satisfying. I used wheat pasta and it tasted no different than a regular pasta. We made some oven roasted shrimp on the side and it complemented the light flavor very well.

This was super runny and lacked flavor. I ended up basically boiling off all the liquid. Salting and adding in a stick of butter along with garlic powder.

This was a disappointing recipe. I had to change multiple ingredients in order to thicken it and the result was still watery. I would definitely not recommend this recipe.

Was pretty good. I ended up adding a bit of flour. Maybe 3 tbsp to tighten it up a bit.

I have found a lot of good recipes here so I decided to purchase the Delish cookbook. We picked 3 items from the cookbook to have for dinner this week and Creamy Three Cheese Spaghetti was on the menu tonight.
 
We followed the recipe but only used 1/2 cup of pasta water. We also had grilled chicken breast to add to it, which it needed for my flavor. As mentioned in previous post, the recipe by itself is bland.

I still give it 5 stars because it was easy enough that my husband was able to make it. We will definitely have again.

Sounds delicious.  I think I’ll add asparagus chicken and bacon to mine for a complete meal.

I tried this recipe.. it turned out pretty good.. I realized that the recipe said to use 1/2 cup of pasta water.. then add more as needed.. but I messed around and added the entire 1 cup lol.. I added Turkey sausage to mine and my wife loved it.. so I must've did something right.. Thanks for the recipe

This is delicious. I added more cheese and made it to my cheesiness likeing but wow this is soooo delicious. I added Italian sausage for a meat.

This recipe is VERY bland. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever.

I made this tonight but used Shrimp and substituted the spaghetti pasta for linguine which makes it look more like an alfredo dish but cheesy!
