Easy White Christmas Margarita Pitcher Recipe

To a large pitcher add full fat coconut milk, coconut water, grand marnier, silver tequila, lime juice and agave syrup. Using a whisk stir everything together until coconut milk no longer separates.

Garnish with fresh cranberries, lime slices and rosemary sprig.

I made this for a cookie decorating party. We drank it...because we didn’t want to waste the tequila. The flavors were not for us. Luckily, with tequila, the third drink of any mixer tends to “get better”.  Oh well, I love trying new recipes and better luck next time.

Not much coconut flavor.  Same as other reviews drinking because I dont want to waste the tequilla!.  Next time I'll try with coconut rum.

In 2-quart pitcher, combine all ingredients, except the ice. Keep the margarita mixture refrigerated until ready to serve.

When ready to serve, rim the glasses with salt (if desired) and fill each with ice.

Fill a cocktail shaker ¾ of the way with ice. Add enough prepared margarita mixture to the top of the ice. Cover tightly and shake vigorously 10-15 seconds. Pour into prepared glasses and serve immediately. Drain excess water from the shaker. Repeat for the additional servings, adding more ice as needed.

Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel.

Enjoy!

If making for a crowd (13, 18, or 24 servings)

See above if salting the rim of the glass.

Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, orange juice agave nectar, and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 seconds.

Single Serving:

To a large pitcher add 2 cups of tequila, 1/2 cup orange liqueur, 1 cup of fresh lime juice, 3/4 cup of orange juice and 1 tablespoon of agave nectar. Mix together with a large bar spoon.

Pour mixture over salt rimmed glasses filled with ice.

Here's the absolute best simple margarita recipe! Serve this drink on the rocks with the classic ingredients: lime, Cointreau and tequila.

Best Simple Margarita (Classic Recipe!)

(3 tablespoons) tequila blanco or reposado*

(2 tablespoons) Cointreau (or Triple Sec)

(1 1/2 tablespoons) fresh lime juice

salt

For the garnish: Lime wedge

Cut a notch in a lime wedge, then run the lime around the rim of a glass. Dip the edge of the rim into a plate of salt (or for a festive look, use our Margarita Salt).

Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with 4 ice cubes and shake until cold.

Strain the margarita into the glass with the salted rim. Fill the glass with ice and serve.

Pitcher (8 servings)

Place 1 1/2 cups tequila, 1 cup Cointreau or Triple Sec, and 3/4 cup lime juice in a pitcher. Add 3 handfuls ice and stir until cold.

The good: Great classic recipe. The only thing tweak I'd make is the Cointreau should be no more than 1:2 to the tequila (in this case 3/4 oz). But just a matter of personal taste. Start w/.5 - .75 oz, add to taste to create the recipe perfect for you. Reposado fan as well, Cuervo Tradicionale. Never settle for less than 100% agave. 

The not-so-good: You should dispense with the nutrition facts, as they are inaccurate WRT sugar (and to a lesser extent calories). 1.5 oz tequila is 100 calories by itself. One oz of Cointreau is not only 95 calories, but is 7.4 gms carbs, ALL of which come from sugar. It's common sense, where do you think the 'sweet' comes from? So total sugar (albeit not ADDED) incl the tequila is somewhere @ 9 gms. That said, Cointreau has a lot less sugar than the cheapie 17 - 28% ABV triple secs, lining the bottom shelf. If I'm out of Cointreau, in a pinch I'll use 1 - 2 TEAspoons of that garbage, and a few dashes of Angostura orange bitters.

These are the best margaritas!   A bit on the strong side for some but if you use good ingredients it’s going to be perfect.   I always use Grand Marnier or La Belle or Harlequin    They are not just orange liquors but contain some brandy.   Always fresh squeezed limes.  You don’t have to go crazy but use a good quality tequila.  You’re going to love it!

these margs taste so great with my cinco de mayo recipes that I made, it is the perfect finisher to this meal!
