An easy way to jazz up plain ol’ boxed brownies!

Symphony Candy Bar Brownies Recipe

box brownie mix (for 9x13" pan (or your own homemade brownie recipe))

called

(4.25 oz each) Symphony candy bars with almonds and toffee chips

Mix the brownies according to box directions. Spray a 9x13&quot; pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Pour 1/2 the brownie mix into the pan (it won&#039;t seem like very much!).

Unwrap the 3 candy bars and place side by side on top of the batter in the pan. Don&#039;t break or chop up the candy bars - they will be whole.

Pour the remainder of the brownie mix over the top.

Bake according to directions on the brownie box. Let cool, cut, and serve.

Peanut Butter Cookie–Stuffed Brownies

box brownie mix, plus ingredients called

c. all-purpose flour

baking soda

kosher salt

c. (1 stick) butter, softened to room temperature

c. sugar

brown sugar

pure vanilla extract

peanut butter

c. peanut butter, microwaved until pourable

c. chopped Reese's pieces

Preheat oven to 350° and line a 8"-x-8" baking pan with parchment paper. Make the brownie dough:&nbsp;Prepare brownie batter according to package directions and pour into prepared pan. Set aside.

Make peanut butter cookie dough: In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt.

In another large bowl, cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla, and peanut butter and beat until combined. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until just combined.

Using a small ice cream scoop, scoop dough on top of brownie batter and bake until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean,&nbsp;30 to 35&nbsp;minutes.

Let cool slightly, then drizzle with peanut butter and top with Reese’s Pieces. Slice into squares before serving.

I'd rate these higher, but can't see how they'd turn out in an 8 x 8 pan. I followed directions except I used a 9 x 13 pan, baked for 29 minutes and they were fabulous! Will definitely make them again.

My husband made these today, and we thought they were delicious. He said he baked it for 45 minutes, a bit longer than called, for and that they could have been baked even longer, but I thought they were perfect.
