You can make the spiced syrup several days in advance and refrigerate. Then all that&amp;rsquo;s left to do is combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake.&lt;/p&gt;

Parker Punch

(5 oz./155 g) sugar

orange,

star anise pod

clove

cinnamon

allspice

bourbon

fl. oz. (7 ml) nocino or other walnut liqueur

cranberry juice

(30 ml) brut Champagne

Orange

&lt;p&gt;Belle de Brillet is a liqueur made from Cognac infused with pears, which is how this festive sparkler gets its punning name.&lt;/p&gt;

A Pear of Brandies

(15 ml) pisco

(15 ml) Calvados or other apple brandy

(20 ml) St-Germain elderflower liqueur

(15 ml) Belle de Brillet

(90 ml) Champagne
