Place broccoli, blueberries, red onion, cranberries, and sunflower seeds in a large bowl. In a small bowl, toss apple with 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Add to the big bowl with the salad.

In a small bowl, whisk together all dressing ingredients. Pour dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine. Salad may be served immediately or refrigerated until serving. It will last for 2-3 days in the refrigerator.

No Mayo Broccoli Salad with Blueberries and Apple

This Broccoli Apple Salad is a healthy and delicious version of classic broccoli salad. * If you enjoyed this recipe, we'd love you to come back and give it a rating and comment! * 

Healthy Broccoli Apple Salad

extra virgin olive oil

TB pure honey

mustard

TB real mayo

garlic powder

onion powder

tsp kosher salt,

tsp black peppers,

broccoli florets, stems trimmed and torn into little bite-sized pieces

red onion, chopped

dried cherries (or raisins/dried cranberries)

honeycrisp apple, chopped and tossed with a bit of lemon juice

smoky roasted almonds, slivered or sliced

blue cheese

Make the Dressing: In a medium bowl, hand-whisk together all dressing ingredients until thoroughly combined. Taste and add more salt/pepper as needed. Cover and chill until ready to use &#8211; can be made a day or two ahead.

In a serving bowl, toss together the broccoli florets, red onion, dried cherries (or other dried fruit,) and apples. Pour dressing over broccoli salad and toss to combine well. If not serving yet, cover and chill several hours to overnight.

When ready to serve: toss broccoli salad again. Gently stir in almonds and cheese; serve. 

Wow!  This is the perfect flavor combo - all the flavors I love - and so crisp!  Thank you for this recipe.  I love it on day one, two, and 3.  Day 3 is only if I've hidden a bowl behind the kalamata olives that no one in my abode likes but me.  We loved this in my home. Again, thank you SO much for  this recipe.  I love when my husband actually will eat AND like a salad.  : )

I made this for a dinner party I was having.  It was a hit!  The combination of all the ingredients blend together so well- and the dressing, oh my!  This is not your ordinary honey mustard, but a culinary treat all its own!   I ended up adding bacon to the salad the second time I made it (because why not?) and made extra dressing as I preferred the salad to be a little more covered with it.
