These Brown Sugar Pancakes are easy, fluffy, and thick! They're the BEST!

Brown Sugar Pancakes

all purpose flour

baking powder

salt

dark brown sugar

eggs

vanilla

milk

butter, melted

In a large bowl whisk the flour, baking powder, salt and brown sugar together.

In separate bowl whisk the eggs, vanilla and milk together.

Add the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until just combined. Lastly mix in the melted butter and stir until combined, the batter will be slightly lumpy. Set the batter aside while you heat your griddle to medium-low heat. Melt a small pat of butter on the griddle and then scoop out 1/2 cup of pancake batter onto the hot griddle.

Cook until the edges are set and bubbles form on top of the pancake. Flip and cook until browned.

Brown Sugar Pancakes are an easy one bowl pancake recipe made with common ingredients and lots of brown sugar.

Tablespoons butter (melted & slightly cooled)

Maple syrup

In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs.  Whisk until well scrambled.

Add the milk, brown sugar, and butter.  Whisk until well combined.

Add the flour, baking powder, and salt.  Whisk just until there is almost no dry flour visible.  But, leave plenty of lumps.  Do not whisk this until it is smooth.

Add about 1 Tablespoon of butter in a large skillet and place it over medium-low heat.  When the butter is melted, add 1/4 cup full of batter to the skillet for each pancake. I typically make 4 pancakes at a time.

When bubbles start popping in the center of the pancakes, it is time to flip them over (3-4 minutes).  The bottom should be golden brown.  If they are too brown, lower the heat.

Cook until the center of the pancakes is done (about 2 minutes).

Carefully wipe out any excess browned butter with paper towels. Repeat with more butter and pancake batter.

Serve topped with maple syrup.

Felt like pancakes today and didn't have normal sugar so looked this up. Was great. I added 2 tsp of vanilla and some cinnamon as well to give it a "holiday" taste.
