Brownie Trifle with Butterscotch Pudding is a decadent and easy to make pudding, topped with fresh pomegranate arils for a pop of color.

Brownie Trifle

butter (for greasing the pan)

eggs

sugar

butter (8 ounces)

cocoa (sifted)

vanilla beans (seeds only)

flour (sifted)

salt

whipped cream

sweeten condensed milk (14 ounces)

cream cheese (softened)

milk

Butterscotch pudding mix (5 ounces)

pomegranate arils

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.

Place a baking sheet (parchment paper) in an 8-inch pan so it covers the bottom and 2 sides (to facilitate the brownie removal). Butter the pan and set aside.

In a mixer fitted with the wire attachment, beat the eggs at medium speed until fluffy and light yellow, add the sugar and beat until combined. Add remaining ingredients, and mix to combine.

Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 45 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the pan, it should come out with just a few crumbles attached. I find that 45 minutes for this recipe is perfect timing.

When done, remove from oven and let the brownie cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

For the Brownie Layer:

In a large bowl, combine milk and pudding mix, blend well using a hand mixer.

In a different bowl, beat cream cheese and condensed milk until smooth. Using a spatula, manually fold in the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture and vanilla bean seeds to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended.

Butterscotch Pudding:

Cut the brownie into small pieces.

In a trifle bowl or individual serving glass bowls, place half of the brownies, half of the pudding mixture, top with the remaining brownies, followed by the remaining pudding mixture. Garnish with pomegranate arils. Refrigerate 8 hours before serving.

Layer 1/3 of the brownies on the bottom...

Layer 1/3 of the brownies on the bottom of a trifle dish.

Top with half of the pudding and half...

Top with half of the pudding and half of the whipped topping. Repeat layers.

Top with remaining 1/3 of the brownies.

Heat hot fudge in a microwave-safe bowl for...

Heat hot fudge in a microwave-safe bowl for 10 seconds and mix until smooth. Drizzle on top of trifle. 

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Whisk cream cheese and powdered sugar until combined. Add in Iced Mocha and mix well.

Fold in cool whip gently until combined.

Soak the brownie pieces in iced Mocha and place 2-3 pieces at the bottom of each glass.

Top with some of the mocha cream.

Repeat until all brownie pieces and cream is used.

Chill in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.

Layered cubed brownies, bits of toffee, chocolate pudding, and cool whip.&nbsp; Most excellent dessert!

Easy Chocolate Brownie Toffee Trifle

ingredients you may need to make the brownies.)

oz bag of milk chocolate chips

Boxes of chocolate instant pudding mix (5.9 oz each)

Milk

Cool Whip

8 oz bag of toffee bits and pieces

Pour the brownie mix into a large mixing bowl,  add the chocolate chips to the brownie mix.  Follow the directions and add any additional ingredients called for on the box.  Best to use a 9x13 pan and bake for about 25 minutes.  Cool and then cut into 1-inch squares.

In a large bowl, blend the pudding mix and the milk for about 2 minutes. A wire whisk works well for this step.  Then fold in about 3 cups of cool whip.

Begin to layer about 1/2 the brownies in the bottom of a large trifle bowl, half of the pudding mixture, about 1/2 cup toffee bits and pieces, and a layer of cool whip.  Repeat with another layer.  Top with remaining toffee bits and pieces.

Add additional candy toppings, if desired.  Cover and store in the refrigerator at least overnight.

Snickers Brownie Trifle Recipe

brownie mix (1 package, (prepared according to package directions))

cool whip (1 container)

caramel syrup (1 jar)

Snickers candy bars (2.07 ounces each)

chocolate syrup

caramel syrup

Prepare brownies according to package directions for a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Let cool and cut into bite-sized pieces.

In a large mixing bowl, combine Cool Whip and caramel syrup until well combined; set aside.

Cut candy bars into small pieces; set aside.

In a glass bowl or trifle bowl, layer 1/3 of the Cool Whip mixture, 1/2 brownie pieces, and 1/3 candy bars.

Repeat layers.

Drizzle chocolate and caramel syrup on top.
