I put the dry ingredients in a gallon size ziploc bag, added the cauliflower and shook it up. Then added the milk. It coated very well. I sprayed the parchment paper with cooking spray.

They crisped well. After 10 min in the oven I rotated the cauliflower with tongs. They cooked for a total of 18 minutes.

Cauliflower Buffalo Wings are easy to make and they have a buffalo wings sauce flavor kick that is just the best.

Vegan Cauliflower Buffalo Wings

cauliflower florets (- one head 4-5 cups florets)

dairy-free butter (- melted)

buffalo sauce

extra virgin olive oil (- for the air fryer)

bread crumbs

pepper

In a large bowl whisk together butter and buffalo sauce.

Add in the cauliflower florets and toss until well coated.

Combine bread crumbs and seasonings in a separate large bowl.

Transfer the cauliflower to the bread crumb mixture and toss again to coat well.

Set the air fryer to 350 F and spread olive oil on to the basket, put half of the cauliflower in the air fryer basket.

Cook for 12-15 minutes or until cauliflower is golden brown and cooked through.

Cook the rest of the prepped cauliflower the same way and serve with ranch and celery sticks.

The best air fryer buffalo cauliflower wings! Crispy breading on the outside, perfectly tender cauliflower on the inside, and tossed in a delicious homemade buffalo sauce. The outcome is the best appetizer, party food, snack, or side dish that everyone will love. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, paleo, and Whole30 approved.

Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower

cauliflower florets ((410 grams/about 1/2 a large head))

eggs

almond flour

tapioca flour

chili powder

paprika

cayenne pepper

salt and pepper,

avocado oil

In a small bowl mix together the almond flour, tapioca flour, chili powder, paprika, cayenne, and salt and pepper. In another small bowl, whisk the eggs. Set up an assembly line with cauliflower florets, eggs, and flour mixture.

Bread the cauliflower by dipping it in the egg mixture, making sure it is fully coated and getting into the nooks and crannies. Roll in the flour mixture, fully coating and shaking off any excess. Place on a plate or large baking sheet and repeat with remaining cauliflower.

Spray the bottom of your air fryer basket with oil (I used avocado oil spray). Place breaded cauliflower in your air fryer basket, evenly spreading out and leaving room in between pieces so the air can easily flow through. Spray cauliflower with a light coating of avocado oil. Close drawer, set air fryer on manual at 375°F for 15 minutes. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you will probably have to cook the cauliflower in two batches to make sure they are not overcrowded.

When the cauliflower is almost done, either make or heat up the buffalo sauce.

Once cauliflower is done, add to a large bowl and pour buffalo sauce over cauliflower. Carefully mix to coat the cauliflower. Make sure to mix carefully as you don&#39;t want the breading to come off.

Serve with ranch or blue cheese, carrots, celery, and more hot sauce and enjoy!

22 oz 6 1/2 cups cauliflower florets

Franks Hot Sauce

tbsp melted unsalted butter

Preheat the oven to 450°F. Lightly spray a large non-stick baking sheet with oil.

Combine the water, flour, and garlic powder in a bowl and stir until well combined.

Coat the cauliflower pieces with the flour mixture and place on the baking sheet; bake for 20 minutes.

While the cauliflower is baking, combine the hot sauce and butter in a small bowl.

Pour the hot sauce mixture over the baked cauliflower and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes.

Serve with skinny blue cheese dressing if desired and celery sticks.

Frank’s Red Hot Sauce

Preheat your oven to 425˚F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Chop the cauliflower into bite-size florets or use two 12-ounce bags of pre-cut cauliflower florets.

Add the flour and spice to a large bowl and whisk together. Pour in the unsweetened almond milk and water and whisk until it creates a smooth batter with no lumps.

Place the florets into the batter in batches and lightly toss until they&#8217;re covered with the batter. Remove the florets one at a time, shake off any excess batter, and lay them on the baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until they are golden brown.

Remove the cauliflower from the oven, place them in a clean large bowl, and cover them with the hot sauce. Stir or toss the cauliflower wings until they are evenly covered in sauce. Place the cauliflower wings back onto the baking sheet and bake for another 20-25 minutes until they are crispy. I like my buffalo wings to have a little char on them so I tend to cook them a little longer.

Once they are done remove them from the oven, place them on a serving dish, and enjoy them like regular buffalo chicken wings alongside celery sticks and carrot sticks.

Hi, Sherry! Honestly, it all depends on your taste and your preference of sauce. You do not have to use this specific sauce. Find one you like and use that one.

Delicious ! My favorite cauliflower wing recipe and I’ve tried a few. Great seasoning in the batter!  I did half Frank’s  and half sweet chili sauce!

I was skeptical, trying this out for the first time, but I was so pleasantly surprised at how great they came out. I honestly dislike Frank's Red Hot, but I kept eating them until I couldn't because the "wings themselves were perfect! My carnivorous hubby and son loved them even more than I did! Next time, I plan to use a different sauce, or just eat as is and use a dip on the side. Thanks!

I meant to make them for big game yesterday but ran out of time so I just made them today. They are very good but I'm with you. The coating is perfection so next time I would make them with the hot sauce for dipping.

Hi Shane.  Made this for last night's super bowl and they were excellent.   Even my 14yo anti-veggie kid said he would eat them again.   They tasted great, had a nice texture and I even went  for the extra bit of char (we think alike).  However, I would not say mine were significantly crispy so I don't know if I should be expecting that or not.  I used chickpea flour so maybe that was a factor?.  Thoughts?   Also, the vegan ranch dressing was awesome!

I know it is good because it is from you, my question is has anyone tried making it with your BBQ sauce, I know just try it, but I haven't made any yet sooooo.

LOVED this recipe and the Vegan Ranch Dressing.  We've tried many "Wing" recipes and found them lacking.  My husband suggested using beer instead of the plant milk/water in the recipe.   Might have to try that because your 5 ingredient bread recipe has become a staple in our house.

Just a heads up for those wanting to make these GF.....all flour is not created equal. I used coconut flour because it's what I had.  Coconut flour does not work!! I'll definitely try again with Chickpea or Bobs Red Mill flour that you suggested.

I made these a few times and tonight I made them turned out Amazing! I don’t  add the hot sauce cause I’m a whimp when it comes to hot anything lol so I just baked them a little longer then dip them in BBQ sauce and or your ranch dressing recipe which I use weekly
