This silky, creamy cheese dip recipe with crispy bacon is a must for an appetizer. but I suppose you could spread it on a sandwich, too!

Cheddar and Bacon Dip

mayonnaise

t finely chopped white onion

Tabasco sauce

oz sharp cheddar cheese, About

Cook bacon with your preferred method. I always microwave whole strips, but it you are chopping it, probably better to do it on the burner.

Transfer 2 T of bacon drippings to a 4 cup measuring cup and stir in mayonnaise, hot sauce and onion. Whisk until well blended.

Now add your freshly grated cheese. Get out your immersion blender and pulse until everything is silky and blended. An alternative is to use a food processor.

Chill if you have time and serve with crackers or celery!

Southern Pimento Cheese Dip Recipe

cheddar cheese,

garlic powder

onion powder

paprika

cayenne

Worcestershire powder

cream cheese, room temperature (very soft)

mayo (real mayo)

pimentos,

In a small bowl, add the seasonings and Worcestershire powder; whisk to combine.

Add the cheddar cheese to a large bowl and sprinkle over the seasoning mixture. Gently mix to coat the cheese evenly.

Add the drained pimentos, cream cheese, and mayo. Mix until thoroughly combined. 

Transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy with chips, crackers, crostini, etc. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.

Perfect recipe! I do add diced jalapeño sometimes 😋

Not going to lie here TKW, as a southerner I take our Pimento cheese dip very seriously. It can make or break you down here but I've been following you for over 10 years and everything I've ever made of yours has been exceptional so I gave it a try.

After I made it and taste it I took a bite. I didn't expect something like that. Your pimento cheese recipe is the best I have ever had in my 75 years. From my granny's to the blue ribbon winners at the local fairs. Your recipe beat them all.   I put away my granny's recipe and replaced it with yours. Granny would understand.
