A simple, 5-minute smoothie that tastes just like a creamy cherry limeade! 5 ingredients, perfectly tart and sweet, and perfect as a healthy breakfast or snack on the go!

Cherry Limeade Smoothie

ripe nectarine or peach ((sliced))

almond milk ((or sub water

limes

Tbsp chia seeds

spinach

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until creamy and smooth. Taste and adjust flavors as needed, adding more cherries for sweetness and more lime for tart.

Recipe as originally written yields 2 small smoothies or one large smoothie. Optional: Freeze leftovers into Popsicles.

This cherry smoothie is made with frozen dark cherries blended into a perfectly sweet drink that only takes 5 minutes to make.

Place the cherries, ice, milk, agave, and vanilla in a blender or food processor. 

Blend on high for about 1 minute until smooth. 

Divide the smoothie into two glasses and top with puffed quinoa or your favorite garnish.

This Cherry Smoothie is a delicious, thick, healthy smoothie made with fresh cherries and almond milk. To thicken the smoothie, I have added a banana, but it can be skipped and you can use more cherries instead.

Cherry Smoothie | Banana Cherry Smoothie

cherries (- 100 grams, fresh and sweet tasting)

banana (- large)

Almond Milk (or lite coconut milk

vanilla extract (- optional)

Rinse cherries in water first for a couple of times. Then soak cherries in a bowl of water for 15 to 20 minutes in which ½ tablespoon white vinegar or apple cider vinegar is added. This is done to get rid of pesticides.

Later rinse cherries again a couple of times with fresh water. Drain all the water. Then remove the stems.

Pit the cherries and discard the seeds. You can chop the cherries roughly if you want. Add the cherries in a blender.

Add 1 large chopped banana. Pour almond milk. You can also use lite coconut milk or thin coconut milk.

Add the vanilla extract.

Blend till fine and smooth.

Pour in a glass and serve Cherry Smoothie straight away.

Hi there, I was wondering about the calorie count and serving size. Are these 8 oz servings? Is this recipe for one serving or two. When I count up an estimated calorie count for one serving, it comes up to about half of the 271. (I'm using the cran-cherry juice, so that helps keep the calories low as opposed to the apple juice.)

A healthy cherry smoothie that tastes like a decadent dessert! Naturally sweetened and so rich. Plus it can be made with banana, avocado, or yogurt.

Chocolate Cherry Almond Smoothie

plant milk

sweet cherries, pitted

banana (or 1/2 avocado

Tbsp. cacao powder

almond butter (optional, but recommended)

almond extract (or up to 1/2 tsp.)

Coconut whipped cream, cacao nibs, fresh cherries, etc.

Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth, about 15-20 seconds.

Taste and adjust flavors if desired. (See notes for suggestions.)

cherries (, washed)

strawberries (, washed)

juice from 1 lime

coconut milk ((I use light canned coconut milk))

water

chia seeds ((optional))

hemp hearts ((optional))

Add cherries, strawberries, lime juice, banana, coconut milk, water, chia and hemp seeds (if using) to blender.

Blend all of the ingredients together until smooth.

I love this recipe Gwen! Such gorgeous flavours. You know that thing that happens occasionally when you taste something with really interesting flavours and you get that twitching nerve type feeling in your mouth? Well, I can totally feel that happening just thinking about this smoothie. (I hope this happens to others and it's not just me as otherwise I'm going to sound really weird!) Once the price of cherries goes down here I will be trying this. They are currently $9.99 per pound!!!
