Two of your favorite recipes in one!! This flavorful Chili Spaghetti recipe is filled with spaghetti noodles, meat, beans, spices and more, and is simple, delicious and is made in the slow cooker!

Chili Spaghetti Recipe

Brown ground beef with season salt and garlic on the stove.

In crockpot add the browned beef, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, 2 cups water, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, chili powder and chili beans. Mix. Cook on low for 2 hours.

Next, cook ¼ of 16 oz. box of spaghetti as directed. When done add to chili.

Vegan Cincinnati Chili

spaghetti noodles (gluten free, if desired)

(15 oz) chickpeas

walnuts

olive oil (or 1/4 cup water)

onion

garlic

tomato paste

apple cider vinegar

chili powder

cocoa powder

cumin

smoked paprika

cinnamon

salt (or

cloves

(8 oz) tomato sauce

low-sodium vegetable broth (or water (plus more, as needed to thin))

kidney beans

Diced raw white onion

chopped parsley

black pepper

Dairy free shredded cheese

Hot sauce

Cook the spaghetti according to package directions.

Meanwhile, place the walnuts in the bowl of a food processor and pulse several times to chop

Add the chickpeas to the food processor with the walnuts and pulse a few more times to break them up. Do not over-process into a purée...you still want it chunky like the size of ground meat crumbles. (See step-by-stop photos in post for reference). Set aside.

Heat the oil (or water) in a large deep skillet over medium heat on the stove. Add the diced onions and sauté  5 to 6 minutes until soft and translucent. Add the garlic and sauté 1 more minute.

Add the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, and all the spices. Stir to combine until the tomato paste is well mixed in.

Add the chickpea and walnut mixture and stir to combine.

Add the tomato sauce and broth and stir to combine.

Simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes until thickened up to your desired consistency. Feel free to add a bit more broth or water if you like it thinner.

Serve over spaghetti noodles with any optional garnishes you like.

Was truly looking forward to this recipe because I love a good Cincinnati chili, but this tastes bitter.   I used all the ingredients exactly as listed so no changes on my part.  Is there anything I can add to get rid of the bitter taste?  Thanks.

I never heard of Cincinnati chili before, but came across it on your site and decided I had to try it. The ingredients looked so yummy and creative. We loved it! Only change I made was subbed half of the walnuts for brown lentils to cut down on fat. All so delicious!

A Cincinnati favorite, This EASY Skyline Chili is easy to make and can be served over noodles and with piles of cheddar cheese on top!

Skyline Chili Recipe (Cincinnati Chili)

beef 80/20

garlic (, minced)

low-sodium beef broth

tomatoes (canned)

sugar*

cayenne

allspice

bay leaf

Spaghetti (, cooked al dente)

Kidney beans (, drained and rinsed, optional)

Sharp cheddar cheese (, shredded)

White onion (, chopped and raw)

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the 2 pounds ground beef 80/20, breaking apart and browning well for 4-5 minutes. Add the chopped 1 large yellow onion and minced 4 cloves garlic, sautéing for another 2-3 minutes or until onions start to soften. Drain the excess fats and transfer to a large pot or Dutch oven. This can be done by transferring using a large slotted spoon OR draining in a fine mesh colander.

Stir in the 4 cups low-sodium beef broth, 16 ounces plain crushed tomatoes (canned), 3 tablespoons chili powder, 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons sugar*, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon cayenne, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon coarse Kosher salt, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice, 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves and 1 bay leaf to the pot and stir to combine.

Heat over low heat uncovered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

When ready to serve, remove the bay leaf.

Serve over cooked Spaghetti and top with your choice of shredded cSharp cheddar cheese, drained and rinsed Kidney beans and chopped White onion.
