chocolate applesauce brownies

These brownies are really good and simple to make.

Chocolate Applesauce Brownies

all-purpose flour

100% cocoa

baking powder

baking soda

salt

butter

chocolate chips

white granulated sugar

applesauce

eggs

vanilla extract

chopped nuts (pecans

In a large bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt. In a smaller bowl melt the butter and chocolate chips together in the microwave or on top of the stove. I do mine in the microwave and it takes about one minute.

Remove and stir the butter and chips till smooth, then add the applesauce, vanilla and combine with the flour mixture. Stir in the eggs and nuts. Spray a 9 x 9 baking dish. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes until center tests done.

They were delicious! I added 1/2 tsp of butter extract, chopped pecans and substituted the applesauce for 2 fresh medium sized apples (blended of course) Thanks for sharing, looking forward to more of your recipes!

I made thes e brownies and they were delicious. however I found them a bit crumbled.  But no one complained they went so fast.  Thank you
