This Chocolate Pudding Cake is a very simple, rich chocolate dessert that comes together in just one dish!

Chocolate Pudding Cake

all-purpose flour

sugar

cocoa powder

baking powder

milk

vegetable oil

vanilla

brown sugar (packed)

chocolate chips

water

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a 2 qt casserole dish, combine flour, white sugar, cocoa powder, and baking powder.

Add milk and oil, and vanilla. Stir until well mixed.

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cocoa powder and chocolate chips. Sprinkle over cake batter. DO NOT STIR. Pour hot water over top.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top looks cooked. Serve warm (with ice cream if desired).

Chocolate Lasagna Recipe (No-Bake Dessert)

14.3 oz pack of Oreos

Tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

oz cream cheese (room temp)

tsp vanilla extract

oz cool whip (refrigerated (whipped topping))

In a food processor or blender, crush the whole pack of oreos with their cream until fine crumbs form. Set aside about 3 Tbsp of crushed oreos for the topping. Transfer to a bowl and combine with melted butter.

In a 9”x13” baking dish, press the Oreo mixture into the bottom of the pan with a spatula to create a crust. Refrigerate while preparing the cheesecake layer.

Prepare Oreo crust:

In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with vanilla and powdered sugar. Fold in the Cool Whip. Evenly and carefully spread the crust. Refrigerate while preparing the pudding layer.

Prepare cheesecake layer:

In a bowl, beat together the pudding mix and milk until the pudding thickens.

Spread the chocolate pudding evenly over the cheesecake layer. Refrigerate until pudding sets.

Prepare chocolate pudding layer:

Top with a cool whip as the final layer and sprinkle with reserved crushed Oreos then cover and chill at least 2 hours and keep chilled until ready to serve.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place 4 ramekins ( 6 oz.each) on a baking sheet ( no need to grease them).

Mix the topping ingredients in a separate bowl and set them aside.

Prepare the cake: Place the chocolate chips and oil in a large bowl and microwave them for 45 seconds until the chocolate is melted.

Add the buttermilk, egg, sugar and cocoa powder to the chocolate mixture and whisk them well.

In a small bowl mix the flour and baking powder, then fold them gently into the chocolate mixture.

Divide the cake batter among the 4 ramekins, and divide the cocoa-sugar mixture sprinkling on top of the cake batter (about 2 heaping tablespoons per ramekin).

Now carefully pour the boiling water ( 1/4 cup on each ramekin) onto of the overfilled mixture. Do not mix the layers at all.

Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 12 minutes until the cake rises to the top and looks set and cooked. It will puff a little and may deflate as it cools down -don’t worry if that happens!

Serve warm or chill and enjoy with homemade caramel sauce and ice cream (or whipped cream!)
