This holiday themed Christmas Cookie Board is one of my favorite types of dessert charcuteries boards to create. Your friends will be SUPER impressed with your creativity, but little do they know how easy it is to do something like this!  

How to Create a Christmas Cookie Dessert Charcuterie Board

premade festive snacks (such as chocolate covered pretzels)

2-3 holiday themed varieties of candie

Start with a couple of small bowls and place them on your board.

Then take your largest cookies first and assemble them around the outside since these are the hardest to grab.

Arrange them in away so you don’t have the same color or textures sitting next to one another.

Then start laying in your more unique cookies and candies and work your way in towards the middle.

Fill in the center with the smallest cookies and look to add height for the cookies than can be stacked

If you have a lot of leftovers, send your friends home with a goodie bag!

Make a festive and seasonal Christmas Charcuterie Board for the holiday party this year filled with your favorite charcuterie meats and cheeses. We made this in the shape of Christmas Tree but you can use whatever shape board you have on hand or build a Christmas tree on a large baking sheet.

Christmas Charcuterie Board

lb Cheddar Cheese

lb Prosciutto

lb salami

oz Goat Cheese

lb Manchego

lb Butterkase

brie wheel

Almonds

Walnuts

Apricots

cucumber

pomegranate seeds

goat cheese balls

Assorted Crackers

Use a food safe board or line with parchment paper before arranging your charcuterie board.

Arrange the cheeses on the board and slice hard cheeses for easier serving.

Fan out the meats and arrange around the cheeses on the board.

Wash and pat dry fruit. Cut into bite sized pieces, if necessary. Place the fruit in the spaces remaining on the board.

Sprinkle the almonds and apricots around the board or place in small bowls on your board. You can also fill with olives, nuts, honey and dips.

Place the crackers around the board.

Fill in any open spots with proscuitto pieces twisted into little piles.

This festive holiday charcuterie board comes together in just a few minutes using your favorite meats and cheeses. No special platter needed, simply serve on a large cutting board or baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board

mozzarella pearls (or bocconcini)

harvarti cheese (any flavor)

cheddar

salami

prosciutto

apricots

cherry tomatoes

blackberries

pecans

pomegranate colby cheese

Chop all your items into bite-size pieces varying the shapes and textures.

Assemble

Start the base of your tree with your most popular item, like cheddar cheese. Make each layer slightly shorter than the last, grouping items that are complimentary.

Decorate

Add the layer of greenery at the bottom and tuck in pieces around the tree. Use a cookie cutter or paring knife to cut out a star shape for the top. Use the pecans to make the trunk and tuck in extras around the tree to fill in empty spaces.

This festive Christmas Charcuterie Board is the perfect appetizer for the holidays. Use all your favorite cheeses, meats, preserves and crackers for an impressive yet easy appetizer.

300 g (10 ounces) salami

300 g (10 oz) Coppa

200 g (7 ounces) blue cheese (Gorgonzola, Stilton, etc.)

g (3.5 ounces) Brie

g (3.5 ounces) Hard cheese (Gruyere, Havarti, Parmesan, cheddar etc.)

Green Grapes

cherries

cornichons (I used Cornichons but pickled onions will also work.)

olives (I used Castelvetrano olives)

rosemary

Place the rosemary in a wreath-shape on a large board or platter.

Place the cheeses, meats, fruit and preserves onto the rosemary.

Pile each ingredient together to create a more visually appealing end result. Place fruit in between for color and texture.

Add serving knives or spoons and serve immediately.

*Note:  Feel free to add nuts like cashews, almonds or candied pecans to fill the spaces in the Christmas cheese board. You could also add festive touches like mini candy canes, chocolate or Christmas candies. Veggies like carrot sticks, sugar snap peas, cherry tomatoes, etc. can also be added.
