Recipe video above. A wonderful classic, elegant cocktail made famous by the ladies of Sex and the City! The key is to get the balance of each component just right so it&#39;s not too sweet, not too tart.I particularly love Cosmos because they&#39;re so quick and easy to make. Also works well to make a big jug and keep it cold in the fridge. SCALE RECIPE using slider to fit the glass/jug you&#39;re using.Be sure to use SWEETENED cranberry juice. Unsweetened (no added sugar) is too tart.

Cosmopolitan Cocktails

60 milliliters/ 2 oz Vodka ((Note 1))

milliliters/ 1 oz Cointreu

90 milliliters/ 3 oz cranberry juice (, sweet (not unsweetened, Note 2))

tsp lime juice (, fresh)

Orange peel (, optional garnish)

Fill cocktail shaker with ice.

Add vodka, cointreau, cranberry juice and lime. Shake vigorously 10 times.

Strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with orange peel.

Cosmo Recipe (for One or for a Crowd)

citrus vodka

Cointreau

100% cranberry juice

lime juice

orange zest twist (or orange wheel, for garnish)

cranberry juice

Orange zest twists (1 per cocktail (see note))

Add all the ingredients except orange peel to a shaker and fill with ice.

Shake, and strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass.

Garnish with a flamed orange peel or orange wheel. (see note)

For Individual Servings

Stir all ingredients except orange peel into a large pitcher. 

When ready to serve, add ice to a cocktail shaker and shake each serving before pouring into a martini glass.

Garnish with a flaming orange wedge. (see note)

For a Crowd (6 servings)

Always good! and a real crowd pleaser for sure - even with a little club soda or sparkling water to make it go further.  Best recipe ever!

Made these today for 8…used triple sec as out of Cointreau…so great! 100% cranberry was perfect. Not overly sweet. Loved!
