Creamy Garlic-Paprika Shrimp Skillet comes together in just 30 minutes for a simple, flavorful weeknight dinner. Featuring pan-seared shrimp, spinach, and red peppers in a creamy garlic sauce with parsley and lemon.

Creamy Garlic-Paprika Shrimp Skillet

lb. peeled and deveined raw shrimp

cracked black pepper, divided

Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil

large shallot, finely chopped (about 1/2 cup)

red bell pepper

garlic cloves,

tomato paste

red pepper flakes

lower-sodium vegetable or chicken broth

paprika

baby spinach

heavy cream

lemon juice (from 1 lemon)

Tbsp. chopped fresh parlsey leaves

Pat shrimp dry with a paper towel, and season evenly with 1/2 tsp. each of salt and black pepper. Heat 2 Tbsp. of the oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Once hot, arrange shrimp in pan, avoiding any overlap (if possible), and cook 3 minutes. Flip, and cook 1 more minute, until the shrimp are firm to the touch and no longer opaque. Transfer to a plate.

Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining 1 Tbsp. oil to pan, along with shallots and red bell pepper. Cook 3 to 4 minutes, until soft. Add garlic, tomato paste, and red pepper flakes; cook 2 to 3 minutes, until garlic is aromatic and tomato paste is caramelized.Pour in broth to deglaze pan; simmer 5 minutes, or until liquid is reduced by about half. Stir in paprika and spinach; cook 1 to 2 minutes, until spinach is wilted. Finally, stir in heavy cream and lemon juice, and season with remaining 1/2 tsp. sea salt and 1/4 tsp. black pepper.Nestle cooked shrimp back into skillet and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve over rice or orzo, or enjoy with crusty bread.

Creamy Garlic Shrimp

vegetable oil

lb. jumbo shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tails removed

salt

black pepper

butter

garlic, minced

white wine

Italian seasoning

white cheddar cheese, shredded (or grated Parmesan cheese)

parsley,

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat for 2 minutes until the hot oil is sizzling hot. Add shrimp and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are fully cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside on a plate.

Add butter and garlic to the same skillet and sauté until fragrant, about one minute. Add wine and stir well to combine, about one minute.

Add heavy cream, Italian seasoning and white cheddar. Stir well and bring the sauce to a simmer. Reduce the heat to medium and keep stirring until thickened to a desired consistency.

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss well to coat.

Garnish with parsley and serve immediately with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.

Creamy shrimp with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes is easy to make recipe that is both satisfying and fancy.

Creamy Shrimp with Spinach

olive oil

shrimp

salt and pepper (to taste)

garlic powder

garlic (chopped)

tomatoes

dry white wine (such as Pinot Grigio)

heavy cream (or half and half)

baby spinach (about 3 ounces)

Parmesan cheese (shredded)

parsley (chopped, if desired)

Add olive oil to a large skillet on medium high heat. While oil is heating, in a large bowl toss shrimp with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and garlic powder until evenly coated.

Add in the shrimp to the skillet with oil and cook for two minutes on each side, until pink in color. Remove the shrimp on a plate.

Add garlic and saute for 1 minute.

Now add sun-dried tomatoes and continue cooking them on medium heat for 2 minutes.

Next, pour in the white wine and allow it to reduce by at least half.

Now, pour heavy cream and once it&#39;s bubbling, add spinach leaves. Stir them in sauce until wilted.

Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust according to your liking.

Gradually add Parmesan cheese until incorporated into the sauce.

Add the shrimp back into the pan and sprinkle with chopped parsley (optional).

Turned out really well. I doubled the spinach to up our veg quotient. Would add a pinch of red pepper flake when sauteeing the garlic, and a splash of lemon juice to finish for a little brightnes.

Delicious and flavorful! I used cherry tomatoes and added fresh mushrooms.

Delicious. Made with canned diced tomatoes rather than sun dried tomatoes

Excellent.  Came together quickly once everything was prepped in advanced.  Doubled amount of spinach as we love it.  Slightly less cream and added a dab of butter.  Would also be great with chicken.  Keeper.
