Crock Pot/ Slow Cooker Spaghetti Recipe

Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Cups Hot Water

(24 oz) Jar Spaghetti Sauce

(8 oz) Jar Mushrooms (drained)

Pound Browned Hamburger Meat

Tablespoons Italian Seasoning

(17 oz) Package Spaghetti Noodles

Add all the ingredients, except the Noodles. Mix...

Break noodles in half, add to Crock, and try to cover them with the sauce mixture. Cover and let cook 1 hour or so, stirring occasionally (every 15-20 minutes, replacing the lid, for the full hour).

Otional, garnish with parmesan cheese and parsley.

CROCK POT SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS

(24 oz) jar spaghetti sauce

(20 oz) bag frozen meatballs ((24 count

water

Italian seasoning

tsp minced garlic

(16 oz) box spaghetti noodles

In a 6-quart oval slow cooker, pour in half the jarred spaghetti sauce and do your best to spread it around evenly.

Layer the frozen meatballs in a single layer (as best as possible) on top of spaghetti sauce.

Pour the rest of the spaghetti sauce over the meatballs.

Then pour in 4 cups of water.

Sprinkle minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and basil on top. No need to stir.

Finally, layer the spaghetti noodles on top and evenly drizzle the spaghetti noodles with 2-3 tbsp olive oil to lightly coat.

Then, gently push down the spaghetti noodles until they are under the water (breaking them if necessary to fit.)

Try to make sure each noodle is coated in the sauce. This will help to keep the noodles from sticking together while cooking.

Cover and cook on low for about 2.5 hours (until noodles are soft and meatballs are heated through).

About halfway through, gently stir the noodles with a pasta fork to make sure none of the noodles are sticking together. 

Spaghetti is ready when the noodles are al dente and most of the liquid has been absorbed by the pasta.

Tasted amazing, the sauce was awesome, but I’m reading the comments and was I supposed to cook the noodles separately? The finished product was a bit mushy but not too bad, any advice for next time?

The sauce came out great in this recipe! I cooked the noodles separately for this (about 15 mins on stove in chicken broth). I will say this recipe needs a lot of salt, or at least mine did. Normally I am sensitive to salt, but with this one I found myself adding much more.

Made it but I seasoned the ground beef with my normal seasoning i use and added a little bit of sausage to the meatballs. I also cooked the pasta seperatly. I used store bought sphagetti sauce and spiced it up a bit before adding it to the meatballs. Overall. Quick & easy meal.. Thank you for sharing.

Love this recipe! I was reluctant to add meatballs raw but it came out great I added the crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce instead of the meatballs,added a little sugar and omitted the chicken broth

We enjoyed this and have made it numerous times. Absolutely DO NOT use Angel hair pasta, use regular spaghetti. Not sure why anyone would try that, it's not what the recipe states. Common sense should tell you that's way too thin.  After I add the pasta, I stir it after 30 mins, then again right before the hour is up. This helps from clumping. I also add water instead of chicken broth if I don't have any broth on hand, sometimes a little more if it looks to be too thick.

Unfortunately it has an after taste. Not sure what it is and I followed the recipe perfectly. I’m going to have to spruce it up myself with additional seasonings.

I always use this recipe when I want spaghetti and meatballs.  Cooking the meatballs in the slow cooker is so much easier than a pan.  I like the meatball recipe and so does my boyfriend.  I use one can of crushed tomatoes instead of two that it calls for.  I tried cooking the noodles in the crockpot but I thought they tasted a little off.  So I just cook the noodles separately.  Overall, a great recipe in my opinion.

I made this a few weeks ago with the pasta separate and it was great.  Do you know if the recipe would change if I doubled the meatballs?

I love this recipe. I boil the noodles separately in chicken broth then add it in and let it sit for the 1.5 hrs. Delicious!!

My husband had been asking for spaghetti and meatballs for days. This was an utter waste of time and ingredients because putting angel hair pasta in the crockpot to cook resulted in huge meatball sized clumps of starch!  Mmmmm.  Hubby not exactly happy!

Worst spagheti sauce I ever tried... The texture and the taste are both aweful in my opinion. Don't waste your time making this.

The sauce + meatballs were great. I recommend making the pasta separately and putting the sauce + meatballs on top of the cooked spaghetti. I omitted the chicken broth (not needed if you cook the pasta separately). The sauce + meatballs turned out perfect. One modification I made with the meatballs was mince one clove of garlic, instead of two.

I should've started with the reviews... Pasta in boiling water, not slow cooked...

Crock Pot Spaghetti

sweet Italian sausage (casing removed)

(26-Ounce) marinara sauce

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil until it shimmers. Add Italian sausage, onion and garlic and cook over medium heat until sausage is cooked through. Drain off excess fat. Pour drained sausage mixture into a large crock pot.

Add salt, pepper, oregano, basil, rosemary, sugar, 2 jars marinara sauce, red wine, and water and stir together. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low 6-8 hours.

Turn crockpot on high for the last hour and add spaghetti. Break noodles, as needed to fit into crockpot. Stir the noodles well into the sauce so they're coated with the sauce. Check pasta after 45 minutes to see if the spaghetti is done. Add more water as needed to loosen the sauce.

Easy Crock Pot Spaghetti Recipe (15 Minute Prep)

spaghetti sauce (1 jar)

frozen meatballs (do not thaw)

spaghetti noodles

Pour the jar of spaghetti sauce into the bottom of the slow cooker and spread evenly.

Nestle the meatballs down into the spaghetti sauce. They do not need to be thawed.

Pour 3 cups of water over the meatballs and sauce.

Drizzle olive oil over the water so that it coats the surface.

Submerge the spaghetti noodles into the water - you want them to go through the oil on top of the liquid to help coat them and prevent them from sticking to each other. Be sure that the noodles are completely submerged under the liquid.

Sprinkle fresh herbs (you can use dried herbs if desired — about 1 tablespoon) over the contents.

Cover with a lid and cook on LOW for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally to make sure the noodles are separated and under the liquid.

Spaghetti is done when the noodles are al dente and the excess water has been absorbed. You may turn the slow cooker to the high setting for 15-20 minutes to speed up the absorption and evaporation of the water.

Stir everything together and serve immediately.

This was incredibly easy to make and DELICIOUS!

In a large skillet, cook ground beef until browned and fully cooked, drain, and place in a slow cooker.

Brown your meat and drain the grease. Place in a 5-6 quart slow cooker. Add in Basil, Rosemary, Garlic Powder, Salt, Pepper, Cayenne, tomato paste, and water. Stir that up real good.

Drain mushrooms and gently stir those in.

Add Bay leaves and don't stir (because they will break up), just spoon some sauce over them.

Cover and cook on low, 7-9 hours, or high, 3-4 hours. Before serving, remove bay leaves. Serve over fresh cooked noodles.
