Crumbl sugar cookies are soft and buttery cookies topped with a perfectly sweet almond icing. You are going to love this copycat recipe. 

Crumbl Sugar Cookies

salted butter

sugar

eggs

tsp vanilla extract

tsp almond extract

all purpose flour

tsp baking powder

butter

almond extract

milk

neon pink food coloring (optional)

Preheat oven to 350°.

While the oven is preheating make the cookie dough. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Scrape the sides, add in the eggs, vanilla extract and almond extract. Beat until mixed.

Scrape the sides and add in the flour, &amp; baking powder. Mix until thoroughly combined.

Scoop out 1/4 cup of dough and roll into a ball. Repeat with remaining dough.

Flatten the cookie dough by gently pressing the bottom of a drinking glass or measuring cup down on the center of the cookie dough.

Repeat with remaining dough. The cookies will spread so make sure to leave room. I tend to only put 6 cookies per pan.

Bake at 350° for 9-11 minutes or until the centers of the cookies have puffed up and are no longer glossy.

Allow them to cool on the cookie sheet.

While the cookies are cooling, make the frosting.

Cream the butter until smooth. Slowly add in the powdered sugar, almond extract and milk until smooth and creamy.

Add 4 drops of neon pink food coloring, if desired.

Spread on the still slightly warm cookies, this will melt the frosting slightly which will give it the nice smooth finishing look.

Once the cookies have completely cooled, chill in the fridge until ready to serve. These cookies are served chilled.

Copycat Crumbl Sugar Cookie and Frosting Recipe- The Best Sugar Cookie Ever!

This copycat Crumbl Sugar cookie recipe is made with a soft and buttery sugar cookie dough base flavored with almond extract and topped with the absolute best almond pink frosting.

Crumbl Sugar Cookies (Copycat Recipe)

salted butter (at room temperature)

all-purpose flour

baking powder

milk (or more if needed)

Food coloring gel (electric pink/neon pink)

Prep

Preheat the oven to 350°F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream butter

Using a handheld or stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and granulated sugar for about 3-4 minutes or until light and fluffy, scraping the sides and bottom of the mixing bowl as needed.

Add wet ingredients

Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition, just until combined. Add the vanilla and almond extracts and beat until combined.

Mix dry ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.

Combine wet and dry ingredients

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter/sugar mixture, mixing throughly until combined.

Shape cookies

Portion out the dough into 1/4 cup portions and roll each portion into a ball. Arrange dough balls on the prepared baking sheets leaving about 2-inches between each cookie (6 per sheet). With the back of a measuring cup or a drinking glass, gently press down on the middle of each cookie dough ball. Don’t make them too flat!

Bake

Bake for 9-12 minutes or until the cookie’s center is a bit puffed up and no longer glossy. Remove from the oven. The cookies will set more as they cool.

Cool

Alow them to sit on the baking sheet for about 8-10 minutes before placing them on a cooling rack.

Make frosting

While the cookies cool, make the frosting. The cookies will get frosted while they are slightly warm (not hot).

Using a handheld or stand mixer, beat the butter until smooth and fluffy. Gradually, add the powdered sugar and mix well. Stir in the almond extract and add the milk one tablespoon at a time until the mixture reaches the right frosting consistency.

Add 3-4 drops of pink food coloring and mix until the color has completely incorporated.

Frost cookies

Spread some of the frosting on each cookie while they are still slightly warm. The frosting will melt slightly.

Chill

When the cookies are completely cool, chill them in the fridge. Serve them cold out of the fridge.
