These Black Forest Cherry Brownies are your new favorite dessert. Exceedingly fudgy, filled with juicy cherries and chocolate chunks and topped with fluffy whipped cream, these bars are indulgent without the fuss of the classic cake.

Black Forest Cherry Brownies

unsalted butter

cocoa powder (regular

semisweet chocolate bar, chopped

sugar

brown sugar

eggs

vanilla

all-purpose flour

chocolate chips

heavy cream (optional)

Heat oven to 350°F. Line an 8&#215;8-inch square baking pan with a parchment paper sling**. Spray parchment with cooking spray.

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, cocoa powder and chopped chocolate, stirring constantly, 4 to 5 minutes until melted and smooth. Remove from heat; set aside to cool.

In a large bowl using a hand mixer or in the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, beat sugars and eggs together on medium-high speed 3 to 4 minutes until mixture is pale and thickened. Gently stir in vanilla, then cooled butter-chocolate mixture. Fold in flour and salt until just combined.

Gently fold in chopped cherries and chocolate chips until just combined. Pour batter into prepared baking pan.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near center of brownies comes out clean or with moist crumbs clinging (do not overbake). Cool brownies in pan on a cooling rack completely, about 1 hour.

Remove brownies from baking pan using parchment sling (run a butter knife along edges of brownies before removing, if needed). Use a sharp serrated knife to gently saw brownies into rows, 4&#215;4, to make 16 total squares.

In a medium bowl, beat heavy cream with a hand mixer on medium-high speed 3 to 4 minutes until stiff peaks form. Spoon a generous dollop of whipped cream on top of each brownie just before serving, if desired. Garnish with more grated chocolate and a cherry, if desired.

Double Chocolate Buckwheat Brownies

Preheat the oven to 350ºF (180ºC). Lightly butter a square 8 or 9-inch (20 or 23-cm) baking dish and line it with parchment paper.

Whisk the buckwheat flour, cocoa powder, and salt together in a bowl. Set aside.

Place a medium-sized pot on the stove with 1 to 2 inches of water inside. Find a heatproof medium-large bowl that sits snugly on top of the pot without touching the water. Bring the water to a boil. Add the dark chocolate and butter to the bowl and heat both together until smooth and melted, stirring occasionally.

Remove the bowl from the pot and heat. Add both sugars to the melted chocolate and whisk to combine.

Add the eggs to the chocolate, one at a time, whisking each until well blended. Add the vanilla and whisk well.

Use a fine mesh sieve to sift the buckwheat flour into the chocolate mixture. Use a rubber spatula or wooden spoon to gently fold the brownie batter together until the flour is just mixed in. A few streaks of flour in the chocolate is ok. 

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared square pan. Bake the brownies for 28 to 30 minutes or until just set in the middle. Remove the brownies from the oven and transfer them to a wire rack. Let the brownies cool in the pan before slicing and serving.

This Cosmic Brownies recipe is the homemade version of Little Debbie&#039;s famous treat. A chewy decadent brownie topped with a chocolate glaze sprinkled with rainbow chocolate chips. It makes for the perfect copycat recipe for the brownies we all know and love, only better!

Cosmic Brownies

vanilla extract

Tb unsalted butter

vegetable oil

Tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)

sweetened condensed milk

oz chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)

Rainbow Chocolate Chips

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. Set aside.

To a large bowl, add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, salt, whole eggs and yolks and whisk until combined.

To a microwave safe bowl, add the butter and chocolate chips. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then microwave another 30 seconds and stir. Repeat until melted and smooth.

Whisk in the vegetable oil to the melted chocolate.

Pour the chocolate mixture into the sugar mixture and mix until fully combined. Gently fold in the flour and cocoa.

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes.

Place chopped or grated chocolate into a medium microwave safe bowl and set aside.

In a large microwave safe bowl combine your sweetened condensed milk and butter.

Microwave for 30 seconds and stir.  Microwave another 30 seconds.

When the butter is melted, carefully add your chocolate chips and stir in until melted.  You can also microwave for 15 seconds more until chips are all melted and ganache is smooth.

Pour the ganache over the brownies and immediately sprinkle with the rainbow chips.

Let cool completely before slicing.

While the brownies are baking, make the glaze.

These sweetened condensed milk brownies are the definition of fudgy. There are three types of chocolate used. They are made extra rich and delicious thanks to the addition of sweetened condensed milk.

Condensed Milk Brownies

egg yolk (room temperature)

Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8x8 pan with foil and lightly grease. Set aside.

In a medium sized bowl over low heat, melt the butter. Add in the sweetened condensed milk and stir with a whisk. Add in the dark chopped chocolate and continue mixing until everything is smooth and melted. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs, egg yolk, vanilla, and both sugars. Whisk vigorously for 2 minutes until light and airy. There should be bubbles forming. You may also use an electric mixer for this part to save elbow grease!

Add in the chocolate mixture from earlier and gently fold together using a spatula. Do not overmix!

Add in the flour and unsweetened cocoa powder and continue mixing until no streaks appear.

Toss in the chocolate chips and mix for a few seconds.

Pour into a prepared 8x8 square pan and spread out evenly. Bake for 22-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out slightly fudgy. If it is wet with batter, continue baking. Turn off oven.

Slightly open the oven door for 10 minutes and allow the hot air to come out. Then completely remove the brownies from the oven and cool on the counter.

For the Brownies

While the brownies are cooling, melt all of the ingredients together on low heat or in the microwave at 15 second intervals. Make sure to stir in between!

Drizzle over cooled brownies. Allow to set and enjoy!

Fudgy Dark Chocolate Brownies

bittersweet chocolate ((I used Ghirardelli 60% cacao baking chips))

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13x9 inch baking pan and set aside.

In a 3-quart saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Once chocolate mixture is cool, whisk in the sugar and vanilla. Whisk in eggs, one at a time, until combined and smooth.

In a separate bowl sift together cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Combine flour mixture with chocolate mixture and whisk thoroughly.

Spread brownie batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-35 minutes. Allow to cool before cutting. Enjoy!
