grams/1¾oz icing sugar

grams/3½oz caster sugar

9–12 tsp chocolate hazelnut spread,

rose petals

tbsp chocolate curls

½ tsp flaky sea salt

This delicious, traditional cake is so moreish – when testing this recipe, we couldn’t eat it fast enough! It’s sticky but light in texture, not too dense.

golden syrup

100 grams/3½oz light muscovado sugar

275 milliliters/9½fl oz full-fat milk
