Grilled Goat Cheese Spread

pkg Original Goat Cheese, softened 113 g

light cream cheese, softened 125 mL

mixed bell peppers 175 mL

chives 60 mL

Preheat barbecue to medium. In a bowl, mix together goat cheese, cream cheese, 1/2 cup (125 mL) peppers, chives and lemon zest. Spread remaining peppers on a plate. Scoop cheese mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap, pull up sides and press cheese mixture into a ball. Remove plastic wrap and roll cheese ball in peppers, pressing gently so they stick to the cheese.

Place cheese ball on maple plank. Set plank in centre of grill, close barbecue lid and cook for 5 to 8 min., checking every few minutes that cheese holds its shape as it warms through.

Creamy and fresh tasting, this sauce is a quick update for your pasta night and a nice break from traditional tomato sauce. Bonus: The sauce comes together in the food processor, saving you time and mess.

Creamy No-Cook Avocado Sauce

avocado, pitted, peeled

tbsp chopped fresh mint 30 mL

lime juice 30 mL

olive oil 30 mL

garlic,

feta cheese 75 mL

Add avocado, mint, lime juice, olive oil, garlic to a small food processor; pulse until finely chopped. Stir in feta.
