Quick and Easy Broccoli Salad with bacon and cheese is a perfect dish for a barbecue, potluck or just dinner with the family!

Easy Broccoli Salad

broccoli

bacon bits (or ½ lb bacon cooked and crumbled)

cheddar cheese

red onion

sunflower seeds

mayonnaise

sugar

lemon juice

salt & pepper (to taste)

cranberries (optional)

In a small bowl, mix mayo, sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.

Chop broccoli florets into small pieces and put into medium sized mixing bowl.

Add diced onion, shredded cheese, crumbled bacon and sunflower seeds to the broccoli.

Add the dressing mix to the other ingredients and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

olive oil

apple cider vinegar

garlic powder

Combine all salad ingredients in a large bowl.

Combine dressing ingredients in a blender or food processor and pulse until smooth. (Alternately you can combine in a jar and shake) Add water as need to reach desired consistency. Taste, add salt and pepper to taste if needed, and pour over broccoli salad.

Toss salad to coat. Serve immediately or cover and chill up to 24 hours.

Healthy broccoli salad with raisins and sunflower seeds tossed with a creamy homemade honey mustard dressing (no mayo!). It makes an easy and healthy side dish for potlucks, picnics, and BBQs. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and paleo.

broccoli florets,

raisins

red pepper flakes

salt and pepper,

Make the honey mustard. In a jar or measuring cup, add the avocado oil, djion, apple cider vinegar, honey, and salt and stir to combine. Set aside.

Make the broccoli salad. In a large bowl, add the broccoli, red onion, raisins, sunflower seeds, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper. Pour over the honey mustard dressing and toss to combine and broccoli is evenly coated.

Enjoy! Place in the fridge for a few hours to let the flavors come together (I recommend doing this) or eat right away.

Great recipe!  I have been looking for a recipe without mayo and that's not too sweet.  This was perfect!

This salad is the BOMB!!!!!  It’s the perfect side dish and blend of crunch, tangy, sweet and flavorful.

Have loved broccoli salad for as long as I can remember this non mayo version takes the cake.  I may even try it again with blanched broccoli.

I don’t know if I’ll ever make mayo based broccoli salad again. Currently counting macros and found this as an alternative to my normal Mayo based version but now it will be my go to!! 

It’s also great for meal prep because it seems to just get better as it sits!

This was so good!!! I kind of made the mistake of making it a few hours before dinner so that the broccoli would sit in the dressing for a bit. I almost ate it all before dinner! So easy and so delicious.
