This is an easy and versatile recipe that tastes great on pasta or used to prepare lasagna!

Easy Meat Sauce

tomato sauce

water

dry red wine (or beef broth)

green bell pepper (diced)

parsley leaves (chopped)

Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon seasoning salt

sugar

bay leaves

In a large pot, brown ground beef, onions, and garlic. Drain any fat.

Add in all remaining ingredients. Simmer covered on low for 1-hour stirring occasionally. Remove lid and simmer an additional 15 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.

Remove bay leaves before serving.

Easy Low Carb Meat Sauce

onion (divided)

½ pounds ground beef

oz canned diced tomatoes (undrained)

tomato sauce (low carb/sugar free)

salt & pepper

Brown garlic, onion, and ground beef in a large skillet until no pink remains. Drain any fat.

Add Italian seasoning, tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, and salt &amp; pepper to taste. 

Summer uncovered 10 minutes or until thickened. Serve over zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash. Sprinkle with parsley.

brown onion (finely chopped)

'Nduja

red wine

tbsp tomato paste

Before you start cooking, peel and finely dice the carrot. Dice the celery stalk, finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

B﻿ring a large pot with generously salted water to a boil.

Heat oil and butter over medium in a large heavy bottomed pot. Add onion, garlic, carrot and celery stalk. Cook for 5 minutes until soft and fragrant. Reduce heat if needed. Add pancetta and cook for 3 minutes.

Add ground meat mixture, break up into pieces with a wooden spoon and cook until it starts to brown. Season with salt, pepper and sugar. Add &#x27;Nduja and continue to cook while stirring until the &#x27;Nduja is completely dissolved.

Pour in red wine and simmer for 3 minutes. Next stir in tomato paste, add puréed tomatoes and bay leaves. Stir and simmer for at least 15 minutes.

In the meantime, add spaghetti to the pot with boiling water and cook according to package instructions. Scoop up ½ cup of the cooking water right before draining the pasta.

serving

When ready, add milk and Parmesan to the sauce. Stir until combined. Toss with spaghetti and add a splash of cooking water, if needed. Enjoy!

Meat Sauce For Pasta

1.5-2lbs lbs Ground Beef

tbs Olive Oil

wine

Onion,

Garlic,

Salt & Pepper

tbs Garlic Powder, Divided & more if needed

tbs Italian Seasoning, Divided & more if needed

28 oz Crushed Tomatoes

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium high heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3 minutes or until the onion begins to soften.

Then add the minced garlic and half of the italian seasoning and garlic powder. Sauté that together for another minute.

Now add the ground beef and season it with salt and pepper. Cook that until the beef is browed and break it into small pieces with your spatula or spoon. If the beef produces a lot of grease drain in from the skillet.

Next add the white wine and turn the heat up to high. Let the wine gently boil of a minute or two.

Then reduce the heat to medium high and add the crushed tomatoes. Season them with salt, pepper and the rest of the italian seasoning and garlic powder. Stir everything together and reduce the heat to low. Simmer the sauce stirring occasionally while the pasta cooks.

Boil the pasta in salt water according to the directions on the package. Just before the pasta is done and needs to be strained, remove a ladle of the water and add it to the sauce. The salty starchy water will season the sauce and thicken it also.

Stir the pasta water into the sauce and add the pasta to it also. Gently toss the pasta into the sauce and serve warm.
