I used to fix this for Christmas every year.  Now, I've passed it on to my daughter to do. HaHa  Always a family favorite!

Miss Jackie's version of Ambrosia Salad

ounce(s) box jello gelatin (any flavor) i use lime flavor.

After we tried this, there was no leaving it alone....soooooo goooood!

Strawberry Petzel Salad

cup(s) crushed pretzels

cup(s) sugar

cup(s) butter

package(s) cream cheese, softened

(1) 12 ounce(s) cool whip

(1) 6 ounces package(s) strawberry jello

water

(1) 10 ounces bag(s) frozen sliced strawberries

We love how this fruit salad recipe has been passed through generations and adapted along the way. The mixture of fruit, the crunch of the apples, and the texture of the walnuts make this an amazing fruit salad. The oranges and pineapple are nicely balanced with the other fruit flavors. Things get special with the creamy dressing. Adding spices to the Cool Whip mixture is a nice surprise. Cinnamon and clove are subtle, but a great addition. The marshmallows soak up all the goodness from the fruits and dressing. We can totally see how the family can get together to make this as a team.

2-1/2 cup(s) mayonnaise, light

teaspoon(s) cinnamon

teaspoon(s) ground cloves

teaspoon(s) pure vanilla extract

tablespoon(s) rum

This is the last fruit salad dressing you will ever need. It's versatile and can be used over any type of fruit. Thick and creamy, it has a slight citrus flavor. Super simple to make, simply pour it over fruit salad as you are serving. Enjoy this fruity dressing as a light summertime dessert, or add it to a brunch menu with a variety of fruit.
