Sauteed Chicken Gizzards

Gizzards,

Onion sliced

Garlic

Bouillon powder

Salt

Pickled vegetables poured over boiled green bananas and bite sized gizzards.

white vinegar

water

black pepper

bay leaf

Cut the ends of the green bananas and peel it. Cut bananas into one inch chunks.

Place bananas into a large pot of water with a pinch of added salt and boil bananas over high heat for 10-12 minutes, or just until fork tender.

While the bananas are cooking, cut gizzards into smaller bite sized pieces and boil with water in a different pot for ten minutes.

Drain the bananas and put into a large bowl. (Drizzle a little olive oil to keep fresh.)

In a separate pot, heat the oil over medium high heat and then add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil over medium high heat, and then lower to a simmer. Cook until onions and peppers have softened. About 7-10 minutes.

Taste for seasonings and adjust to your liking.

Once vegetables have softened, pour mixture into the large bowl with bananas, and toss to coat.

Fold in gizzards and refrigerate for an hour before serving.

How to cook chicken gizzards and gravy so they are fork tender and delicious. Dice and make it into gizzard gravy or eat for dinner.

How to Cook Chicken Gizzards

chicken broth

tbsp salt (for soaking)

chicken dripping gravy

c milk (whole

cornstarch flour

tsp basil

tbsp butter

onion

tbsp minced garlic

salt and pepper (to taste)

Place gizzards in a large bowl, sprinkle with 2 tbsp salt and mix together. Fill bowl with water and let soak for 2 hours. Then rinse thoroughly.

Put soaked gizzards in a large saucepan full of water, bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes.

While that is boiling, dice onions, place in sauce pan with 1 tbsp butter. Saute until translucent and golden. Add minced garlic, 2 tbsp butter and allow to melt.

Sprinkle in your flour or cornstarch. Whisk together well so it doesn&#39;t clump up at all, do this until you get a creamy thickening roux.

Whisk in milk and chicken stock until smooth. Add chicken gizzards. Bring to simmer, reduce to medium low. Add more chicken stock if you want to thin the gravy out. Sprinkle in basil and salt and pepper to taste.

Air Fryer Chicken Gizzards

breadcrumbs

c parmesan cheese (shredded)

tbsp taco seasoning (or seasoning of choice)

Place gizzards in a medium size bowl and coat with salt. Fill with water and soak for 2 hours.Rinse thoroughly.

Place gizzards in a sauce pot full of water, bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes. While simmering, prepare the egg and breadcrumb mixture.

In a small bowl, beat the egg until light and frothy. In a medium dish, blend together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and seasoning of choice. Drain the gizzards and set aside to cool off.

Place the gizzards in the bowl of beaten egg and thoroughly coat the gizzards. Put several gizzards at a time in the breadcrumb mixture and toss to coat. Repeat until all are well coated.

Preheat air fryer to 400 F for 5 minutes. Spray inside of basket with non stick spray. Place coated pieces in a single layer in the air fryer. Cook at 400 for 6-8 minutes or until crispy as desired on the outside. Serve warm
