Didn’t change a thing! Excellent taste and consistency. Kids loved it. Very easy too.

This is the second time I’m making this recipe. I only used onions as I didn’t have any leeks, and used dried thyme. I also added a bay leaf for no other reason than I know it can go in soups. It was delicious the first time and now I’ve made it again and it’s in the ninja pot cooking. I didn’t find that it was too thick or undercooked when I made it last week. Perfect

Nope. The flavor was fine, and I think the lemon is a great way to enhance the flavor. However the cooking time was way, way off for the peas. I cooked the soup as directed and got cooked soup with crunchy peas. Doubled the cook time,  and I got almost liquefied vegetables, and barely softened peas. The peas weren’t old, and didn’t come from a low-quality grocery. Good concept, but execution doesn’t work.

I am new to cooking with a pressure cooker, so I was a little skeptical that the split peas would cook in 14 minutes. They were perfectly cooked and the soup was delicious. I will definitely make this again!

I will make this, but not sure of the lemon.

I just tried this recipe and I had clumps of beans in some parts of the cooker that were crunchy. I added four cups of water and restarted the pressure cooker for 6 more minutes. It sounds like an experiment I have to work to perfect.

Can I prep ingredients some how to freeze and give to someone for their pot? 
All they do is put in  pot,  they work long hours and would like some meals done up ahead and frozen. .any suggestions would be great ....love ghis soup recipe wondering how to freeze in what container

Instant Pot Chicken Tortilla Soup Is The Coziest Winter Dinner

<em>This Green Pea Soup is made from frozen Peas and 5 other healthy ingredients for a creamy and filling side! Dairy Free, Oil Free, and Vegan.</em>

Green Pea Soup

Frozen Peas

½ Yellow Onion, roughly diced

13.5 oz can Light Coconut Milk

Vegetable Broth

Garlic,

⅓ packed cup Fresh Parsley, chopped

tbsp Fresh Dill, chopped (Optional)

Salt and Black Pepper,

First, add a splash of Vegetable Broth to a large pot. Add in the Onion and Garlic, then sauté over medium heat until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the Dill and Parsley to the pot, then sauté for another minute. Add all of the remaining ingredients, then cover the pot and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, uncover and reduce the heat to low while you let the soup simmer for 8-10 minutes.

Carefully transfer the soup to a blender (or use an immersion blender) and blend on high until smooth and creamy. Transfer to bowls and serve as desired; leftovers will last in the fridge for up to one week.

I was looking for a plant-based frozen peas soup and I happened upon yours. Really good! Thank you ???? I added a small steamed potato. I used fresh basil. I substituted almond milk for the coconut milk cause I’m out. Very good!

This soup is so delicious!  It’s much better than the canned green pea soup I grew up eating.  It’s so much fresher and brighter in flavor.  I had no dill on hand, so I used a few mint leaves and I think it worked really well.

My easy pea soup recipe is silky smooth and not heavy, with the natural sweetness of peas and creamy texture in every bite. Just 30 minutes!

Pea Soup Recipe (Easy, 6 Ingredients)

tbsp Olive oil

Onion ((diced))

Garlic ((minced))

oz Peas ((fresh or frozen, ~5 cups))

Vegetable broth ((or chicken broth;

Heavy cream ((or

tsp Sea salt ((to taste; you'll want less

tsp Black pepper ((to taste))

In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, heat the olive oil until shimmering. Add the onion and saute for about 5 minutes, until softened.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until fragrant.

Add the peas and vegetable stock. Stir well.

Bring the pea soup to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 12-15 minutes, until the peas are very soft and puckered.

Remove from heat and cool for a few minutes.

Pour the soup into a blender (work in batches if it doesn’t all fit) and blend until smooth. Alternatively, you can blend in the pot using an immersion blender but be careful because the soup splatters easily.

Return the blended pea soup to the pot. Stir in the cream. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.

If you like, garnish with extra cream, fresh cracked black pepper, and peas on top for serving.
