These Grinch cookies are yummy green sugar cookies stuffed with rich milk chocolate and candy hearts on top.

The Grinch Cookies

Hershey’s kisses, (unwrapped)

Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix

all-purpose flour

unsalted butter, (room temperature)

heart candy sprinkles

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly spray a mini muffin pan with baker’s spray, or line with paper cups, and set aside.

In a small bowl, whisk together, with a fork, the egg and green gel food coloring until the food coloring is thoroughly combined with the beaten egg.

In a large mixing bowl, with a handheld mixer on low speed, combine the Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix, all-purpose flour, unsalted butter and egg mixture for 2 to 3 minutes or until thoroughly combined. Your dough will be very thick.

Using a 1 ½ tablespoon (1½-inch ) cookie scoop, scoop out a ball of dough and flatten it into a 3-inch disc in your hand. Place a Hershey’s Kiss into the center and carefully pull the sides up to cover the candy and shape it into a ball. Make sure to keep your Hershey’s kiss candy upright when placed into the mini muffin tin to be baked.

Place the dough balls into the muffin tin making sure that the Hershey’s kiss is still in the upright position and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Do not let your dough start to get brown. You just want to make sure the center is not raw.

When your Grinch stuffed cookie cups come out of the oven, place 1 heart sprinkle, offset to the right from the center, onto your cookie cup and let them cool in the mini muffin tin for at least 10 minutes before removing them to cool completely on a wire rack.

Grinch Cookies

Perfect for the holidays, these Grinch Cookies are wonderfully cakey with crispy bottoms. They&#039;re so easy to make without cake mix.

all-purpose flour ((300 grams))

sugar ((300 grams))

baking powder

salt

unsalted butter

eggs

vanilla extract

green gel food coloring

cornstarch ((56 grams))

red heart-shaped sprinkles or cinnamon candies

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 2 cups of powdered sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Cut the butter into tablespoons and drop the pieces into the flour mixture. Add the eggs and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until combined. Add 2 drops of food coloring if desired, and beat until well incorporated, making sure there are no white streaks in the dough.

In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and the remaining ½ cup of powdered sugar.

Scoop the dough into 1½ tablespoon-sized balls. Roll each between the palms of your hands to form a ball, then roll in the cornstarch mixture until well coated. Place each ball about  3 inches apart, on prepared baking sheets and slightly press down on the tops.

Bake for 12 minutes or until the cookies start to crinkle and are lightly browned on the bottoms. Remove from the oven and immediately press a heart-shaped sprinkle or candy on each cookie. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely. Cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Easy Grinch Cookies

Grinch cookies are an adorable holiday cookie recipe inspired by the classic Dr. Seuss character. These are soft-baked green sugar cookies flavored with peppermint, garnished with a heart that's two sizes too small!

(226 grams) unsalted butter,

1½ cups (285 grams) granulated sugar

teaspoon (5 milliliters) pure vanilla extract

½ teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)

cups (420 grams) all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon cream of tartar

½ teaspoon salt

Additional 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Electric Green Gel Color

Heart-shaped sprinkles

Preheat the oven to 350° F. Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Combine the butter with the sugar and beat on medium speed until well creamed together.

Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and green gel coloring. Mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, combine the remaining dry ingredients. Slowly add into the dough and beat on medium-low speed until well combined and dough forms.

Use a large cookie scoop and portion the dough. Roll each ball of dough in granulated sugar and then place each one about 2 inches apart on a baking sheet.

Bake at 350° F for 12-15 minutes. Immediately when pulled from the oven, place a heart-shaped sprinkle on top.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for several minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Authentically pleasing cookies that psy homage to the Grinch. Not your average Christmas cookie! My daughters loved helping and eating. I added 3 hearts to some since his heart grew 3 sizes that day.

These cookies look as good as they taste! We used red M&amp;Ms for the hearts. My son had so much fun making and eating them. He can’t get enough!

Amazing! I made these today and they turned out perfect. I made mine with almond extract instead of peppermint, and I used a smaller scoop. I got 36 cookies when I made them a heaping tablespoon size (maybe 1.5-2 table spoons). Perfectly cooked at 11 minutes.
