Paleo Sweet Potato Pizza Crust Recipe

sweet potato (from roasted sweet potatoes)

almond flour

arrowroot

olive oil

white wine vinegar

Italian seasoning

sea salt

Roast sweet potatoes. I roast my sweet potatoes at 420 degrees F for 1 hour - 1 hr. 20 minutes, until they are very soft.

Once potatoes have cooled, scoop out the flesh, and measure out 2 cups of sweet potato puree.

In a large mixing bowl, add sweet potatoes, and use a hand mixture to whip the sweet potatoes until they are smooth.

Add the rest of the ingredients, and use the hand mixer again to mix well.

Preheat oven to 425 degree F.

Line a cookie sheet with baking paper. Scoop "dough" in heaping 1/2 cups (the recipe will make 4 small pizza crusts).

Wet your fingers, and lightly press down on the top of each mound.

Cover 1 mound of dough with another piece of parchment, and then use a flat-bottomed smooth plate to press down until the sweet potato is about 6 inches in diameter. Watch this process in the video above.

I like to use wet fingers to gently mold the edges of the crust, but this is optional.

Bake the crusts for 30 minutes.

Top the crusts with sauce, cheese, or other toppings, as desired.

Return topped pizzas to the oven for 12-20 minutes, depending on how many toppings are added. A basic cheese pizza will bake in 12 minutes, but a pizza loaded with tons of veggies will take 20.

Cauliflower Pizza Crust {Crispy - Hold the Slice}

Prep: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line baking sheet with unbleached parchment paper or silicone mat.

Make "rice": Rinse cauliflower, remove the outer leaves, separate into florets and chop into smaller pieces. Process in a food processor in 2 batches, until "rice" texture forms (skip if using store-bought "rice").

Cook "rice": Transfer cauliflower rice on a prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 mins. Remove cooked cauliflower rice from the oven, transfer to a large bowl lined with a double/triple layered cheesecloth or linen towel, and let cool for 10-15 minutes or until safe to touch.

Squeeze: Then squeeze the liquid out of the ball (cauliflower inside the cheesecloth) as hard as you can. Be patient and do this a few times until barely any liquid comes out. Muscle work.:)

Make dough: Increase oven temperature to 450 degrees F. In a medium mixing bowl whisk the egg with dried herbs, salt and pepper for 10 seconds. Add cheese and squeezed cauliflower; mix very well with spatula until combined.

Form crust: Line same baking sheet with new parchment paper or silicone mat (just make sure to scrape off any bits of cauliflower) and spray with cooking spray. Transfer cauliflower pizza dough in the middle and flatten with your hands until thin pizza crust forms. Make it thicker than in my video, I made it a bit too thin.

Bake crust first: Bake for 20 minutes, carefully flip with spatula and bake for a few more minutes.

Bake pizza with toppings: Top cauliflower pizza base with your favourite toppings and bake again until cheese on top turns golden brown.

Enjoy! Cut into 8 slices with a pizza cutter and finally enjoy!

Store: Refrigerate leftovers covered for up to 2 days.

Freeze: Bake, cool and wrap in plastic wrap. Or place in a resealable extra large Ziploc bag. Freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw completely before baking with toppings.

I am new to the Keto Diet and this was a way to get my husband to eat healthier pizza if there is such a thing but I added the Carbs up from what I used which I will make better choices the next time but the 4 cups of mozzarella cheese had 32 carbs the eggs and pepperoni had zero carbs and the Ragu pizza sauce had 4 net carbs for 1/4 cup I used 1/2 cup sauce so total carbs 40 carbs but divided by 8 slices it is 5 total Carbs

Didn’t care for this. Tasted like overcooked eggs.

This Low-Carb Pizza Crust Is Shockingly Good

This low calorie pizza has everything you love about pizza and each slice has just 80 calories! Plus, the homemade pizza crust is thin, crispy, perfectly chewy, and seasoned to perfection. Along with the classic toppings, you'll be second guessing if you order it out. Plus, this healthy pizza takes under 25 minutes to make! 

Healthy Low Calorie Pizza Under 500 Calories For The Whole Pizza

Just less than 3/4 Cup (85 grams) self-rising flour

Tsp xanthan gum

Tsp garlic powder

onion powder

Tbsps (50 grams) Almond milk

Cup low calorie pizza sauce

(40 grams) fat-free mozzarella

(40 grams) part-skim mozzarella

Tsp of garlic salt

Pepperoni

Anything else you want

Add the flour, xanthan gum, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to a large bowl, whisk until combined.

Pour in the almond milk, and use a spatula to mix until a crumbly dough forms. Use your hands to work the ingredients together into a ball of dough.

Wrap the dough with parchment paper, and preheat your oven to 550°F (290°C). Let the dough rest next to the oven as it heats up.

Once the oven reaches around 500 degrees, take out a large piece of parchment paper, and coat your hands with a little bit of flour - along with a rolling pin - over the paper.

Unwrap the dough, and rub some of the flour from your hands on the dough. Lay the dough down on the parchment paper, and use the rolling pin to roll the dough out until it reaches around 10 inches in diameter. 

Use a 7-inch bowl to make a small indent in the top of the dough. Roll the extra dough outside the indent towards the center to form the crust.

Use your hands to flatten and shape the crust and work the crust/dough outwards to get it to be about 9-inches in diameter.

Use a basting brush to cover the crust with olive oil, and then remove any excess parchment paper from around the dough.

Bake the crust for around 3-4 minutes on a pizza tray, and then remove it from the oven.

Add the pizza sauce, along with the cheese - and toppings if using them - and brush the crust again with oil, and top with garlic salt.

Bake again for around 8 minutes - until the cheese has totally melted and the crust is golden brown.

Remove from the oven, let cool for just 1-2 minutes, and enjoy!

Homemade Low Calorie Pizza Recipe | UNDER 500 CALORIES For The Entire Thing

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat (do not skip lining it!).

Rice the broccoli: Place half of the broccoli florets in a food processor fitted with a steel blade. Pulse in 5-second bursts until the broccoli is in fine crumbs. Transfer to a large, microwave-safe bowl. Repeat with the remaining broccoli. You should have about 2 1/2 to 3 cups broccoli rice total.

Cover the broccoli and microwave on HIGH for 2 to 3 minutes, or until it is steamed. Let cool for 2 minutes, then transfer to a large, clean kitchen towel. Once cool enough to handle, wrap the towel around the broccoli and squeeze out as much liquid as you possibly can, adding a second towel if needed.

Add the broccoli to a large mixing bowl (this can be the same bowl you used to microwave the broccoli; just rinse and wipe it dry first). Add the eggs, Parmesan, nutritional yeast, shredded mozzarella, Italian seasoning, and salt. Stir until well combined. Transfer the mixture to the center of the prepared baking sheet and shape into a 1/2-inch-thick pizza (it will be about 9 inches in diameter.) It will feel very wet and sticky. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until crust is set on top and beginning to very lightly brown at the edges.

Remove from the oven and add the toppings: pizza sauce, additional mozzarella, and any desired toppings. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is hot and melted. Remove from the oven and let cool 5 minutes. Just before serving, sprinkle with fresh basil. Slice and enjoy!
