This easy pork fried rice recipe from Delish.com is an infinitely adaptable.

Pork Fried Rice

eggs,

onion, chopped

carrot, peeled and cut into 1/4" pieces

lb. pork

kosher salt

black pepper

tbsp. grated ginger

garlic,

c. frozen peas

c. cooked white rice

tbsp. low-sodium soy sauce

hoisin sauce

green onions, thinly sliced

sesame oil

This was a great recipe, so good that my husband went back for seconds! This was a fabulous way to clean out the fridge - I ended up using up some leftover pork chops (diced), jasmine rice, and some steamed peas and carrots from a previous dinner; I agree with one user that par-boiling or steaming the carrots first would definitely be a great way to go. I will definitely be adding this recipe to my "make again" list.

I made this recipe tonight for supper and my family liked it. The only things I did different was I left out the green onions and sesame oil(can't stand them) I also added a bit of 5 spice seasoning and used powdered ginger instead of fresh. I'll most likely make it again since it was a hit.

This is an easy and delicious recipe. I’ve made it twice now and the family loves it. I add extra soy sauce and use diced pork chop. Easy to customize with different vegetables.

Really good. Loved all the flavors. I used a left over pork chop I treated with a little BBQ sauce.  I also didn't have hoisin, but still just delicious.  Will make again and again.

Tried this today and it turned out great. Some people had thirds! Didn't have Hoison sauce on hand, but will definitely use it next time I make this.

Very tasty. I didn’t know what to do with ground pork. I googled it with rice and got this. I had most of the ingredients except green onions and carrots so I went without. I also didn’t have hoisin sauce so I homemade that as well. Even with those variations it came out great. I have four kids and they are all picky in their own ways. They ate it all and two had seconds. Will definitely make it again.

This was a huge hit with the family. I added a little hot peppers to my plate which I enjoyed.  Definitely fixing again!

This was delicious. I used leftover pork tenderloin and fresh sugar snap peas. Yummy!

So good, the whole family loved it! I used diced up pork loin instead of ground pork and it was better than take out!

We had pork loin that we cut into little bite size pieces instead of ground pork and it was fantastic! Would definitely make this again, it's such a good fridge cleanup recipe!

I tried this recipe today but added mixed frozen veggies, Napa cabbage &amp; used basmati rice in place of the white rice.

Made this today and it was sooo good, of course I added my own little twist with a dab of Adobo for the pork lol BUT delicious my family loved it

This was very good! My husband loved it. I roasted a small pork loin I had and used that in the fried rice instead of ground pork - out of this world.

My first attempt at making pork fried rice. Used left over pork loin cut in to little pieces, no other changes. It was delicious! This recipe is definitely a keeper!!

Skip the takeout, you can make this filling, flavorful Chicken Lo Mein at home!

Chicken Lo Mein

oz dry package of lo mein noodles

chicken broth

soy sauce

Hoisin sauce

oyster sauce

cornstarch

canola oil

lb raw boneless skinless chicken breasts

Salt and black pepper (to taste)

onion (finely sliced)

garlic

ginger root

cabbage

snow peas

carrots

scallion (finely chopped)

Cook the lo mein noodles in a pot of boiling water according to package directions. Drain.

Whisk together the broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil and cornstarch until smooth and set aside.

At the same time as you are working on step one (boiling water for noodles), drizzle the oil in a large saute pan and bring over med-high heat. Add the chicken to the hot oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Stir to coat. Cook for 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken is cooked through. Remove the chicken to a side plate.

Add the onions to the hot pan and reduce the heat to med-low. Cook the onions for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened and a bit golden. Add the garlic and ginger and stir. Cook for an additional 30-60 seconds until fragrant. Add the cabbage, snow peas, and carrots and stir together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the chicken and cooked, drained noodles to the pan and stir to combine.

Add the sauce you whisked together in step 2 to the pan and stir to coat the noodles and ingredients. Cook for another minute and sprinkle with the scallions before serving.
