1. Make the dough: In the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment mix the butter and brown sugar together for 2 minutes, until combined. Add in the vanilla, baking powder, baking soda, and salt and mix for 30 seconds until evenly incorporated. Turn the mixer to low and add in the flours and milk in alternating portions, beginning and ending with the flour. Mix until combined. Dough will be thick.

4. Bake. Sprinkle the granulated sugar evenly onto the pieces, pressing lightly into the dough. Prick the dough with a fork to create the store-bought look. Place onto the prepared baking sheet 1/2- inch apart. Bake for 9-11 minutes until the edges are lightly golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Graham Crackers

These Easy Homemade Graham Crackers are crunchy, lightly sweetened, and packed with whole grains! You only need 6 simple ingredients. This recipe is nut-free and can easily be made vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free!

Homemade Graham Crackers

¼ Cup Softened Grass Fed Butter (see note 1 for dairy-free option)

⅓ Cup Honey (or Pure Maple Syrup)

¼ tsp Pink Himalayan Salt

1½ Cups White Whole Wheat Flour + extra for rolling (see note 3 for gluten-free option)

tsp Baking Soda

1½ Tbs Cold Water

Gluten Free Graham Crackers

flour

almond flour

tsp xantham gum

cinnamon

almond milk ((oat milk works too))

Setup a medium sized food processor, or stand mixer, and add in the dry ingredients: gluten free flour, almond flour, salt, baking powder, xantham gum, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar. Briefly pulse the dry ingredients together in the food processor until just combined.

Use a butter knife to dice up the cold butter into 1/2 inch cubes. Turn on the food processor and begin adding the butter until finely mixed with the dry ingredients.  Turn off the food processor. The dough should be more clumpy now.

Add the remaining wet ingredients to the dry mix: honey, molasses, vanilla, and cold milk, then pulse in the food processor until just combined.

Scrape out the dough onto a prepared plastic wrap. Form into a small disc and wrap it up. Place into the fridge to rest for 20-30mins.

Lightly flour, with gluten free flour, a section of counter top. Unwrap the rested dough and place on the floured area. (you can also roll out the dough on the plastic wrap to prevent sticking) Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough into a rectangular shape about 1/4 in thick.

Prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Using a square cookie cutter, cut out segments of the rolled out dough and place on the prepared cookie sheet, spacing each dough cut-out about 1/2 in apart. Re-roll out dough as needed and continue to cut out more crackers until all the dough is used.

(Optional) Use a chopstick, or similiar, to poke 4-6 holes into each cracker.

Set the oven to pre-heat at 350°F. (175°C). Place cookie sheet trays into a fridge to cool while the oven pre-heats.

When pre-heated, bake for 15-18 minutes for a softer cracker. (20 mins for more crisp)

Gluten Free & Dairy Free Graham Crackers | Daddy Can You Make

These easy homemade vegan graham crackers are crisp, crunchy, and sweet, and so quick to make. Use for homemade s'mores, cheesecake crust, and more- and you can even make them gluten free!

Quick &amp; Easy Vegan Graham Crackers Recipe - Gluten Free option

(55 g) salted vegan butter, melted

(105 g) light brown sugar

tsp baking soda

tsp sea salt

tbsp cinnamon

(185 g) all purpose flour or gluten-free measure for measure flour

tbsp (30 mL) dairy free milk

(60 mL) maple syrup

Prep: 

Measure out all ingredients. Read through all instructions before beginning

Whisk the wet ingredients: 

In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted vegan butter, light brown sugar, baking soda, sea salt, and cinnamon.

Finish the

dough: Add in the flour, and pour in the dairy free milk and maple syrup. Use a silicone spatula to fold the flour into the wet ingredients until you get a thicken dough.

Roll out the dough: 

Place the dough onto a piece of parchment paper, and place another piece of parchment paper on top. Roll the dough out to be about 12&#8243; by 15&#8243; and about 1/4&#8243; thick. You can shape the dough by slicing pieces off until you get a rectangle and place the extra dough back onto the main block of dough, rolling it out again.

Transfer the dough to a baking sheet: 

Place the piece of parchment paper that has the dough on top of it onto the baking sheet. Place the baking sheet into the freeze to chill while you preheat the oven to 400F.

Bake: 

Once the oven is preheated, place the baking sheet into the oven and bake the graham crackers for 12 minutes, or until lightly golden on top.

Shape: 

Once baked, remove the graham crackers from the oven and with oven mitts, transfer the parchment paper sheet to a cool rack. While the graham crackers are still warm, use a pizza cutter and cut the graham crackers into squares and then rectangles, but leave them on the baking sheet to cool. Poke a few holes into the top of each square.

Cool and enjoy

Let the graham crackers cool completely before removing. Then enjoy in homemade vegan s&#8217;mores, in cookies, s&#8217;mores cake, or as a graham cracker crust for cheesecake!

Just made these with gluten free flour and they turned out so well! I had to use quite a bit more gf flour (maybe an additional 1/2 cup - I used Bob's Red Mill GF All Purpose because it was what I had, though I wouldn't recommend it) to get the texture of the dough right before I rolled it out. The flavor was still spot-on, and the texture was great. Will definitely make these again with regular flour next time! Thanks for the great recipe.
