Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix

vegetable oil

container (8 oz) sour cream (1 cup)

brown sugar

pecans

cinnamon

Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Grease and lightly flour 13x9-inch pan, or spray with baking spray with flour.

In large bowl, beat cake mix, oil, eggs and sour cream with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds, then on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Spread half of the batter in pan.

In small bowl, stir together brown sugar, pecans and cinnamon; sprinkle over batter in pan. Carefully spread remaining batter evenly over pecan mixture.

Bake 44 to 48 minutes or until deep golden brown. In another small bowl, stir powdered sugar, milk and vanilla until thin enough to spread. Prick surface of warm cake several times with fork. Spread powdered sugar mixture over cake. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Store covered.

This Honey Bun Cake is wonderful for breakfast with coffee or to serve for dessert. Would be perfect for brunch!

Combine yellow cake mix, melted butter, eggs, buttermilk and almond extract and mix with mixer.  Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish and pour in the cake batter.  Combine nuts, brown sugar and cinnamon.  Sprinkle on top of cake batter and swirl into cake batter.  (I just use a knife and kind of swirl it throughout the batter) Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes.  Let cake cool.

Mix together topping ingredients.  (You can add more or less milk to the powdered sugar until you get the consistency you like for pouring)  Pour or drizzle over cake.

Honey Bun Cake (Easy Recipe)

(18.25-ounce) box yellow cake mix

eggs, room temperature

(8-ounce) carton sour cream

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9x13-inch cake pan with cooking spray or butter.

In a large mixing bowl, beat together the yellow cake mix, eggs, sour cream, vegetable oil, and water until smooth and well-combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar and cinnamon.

Pour half of the batter into the greased baking pan. Sprinkle the top with the prepared sugar-cinnamon mixture. Pour the remaining batter over. Gently drag a table knife through the batter to create ripples.

Bake the cake for about 40 minutes, or until lightly golden on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Meanwhile, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Pour it over the cake while still hot.

Let the cake cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes. Chill until ready to serve, or serve warm with cold milk or a scoop of ice cream.

(160 g) packed light brown sugar

flour

baking powder

salt

(1 stick, 113 g) unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)

(120 mL) canola oil ((other neutral-tasting oil))

(400 g) granulated white sugar

eggs room temperature

½ cups (360 mL) buttermilk

½ cups (170 g) powdered sugar

Tablespoons honey

unsalted butter (melted)

Preheat and prepare pan. Position a rack in the center of the oven. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9x13 cake pan.

Make filling. In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. ¾ cup (160 g) packed light brown sugar 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Combine dry ingredients. In a mixing bowl, whisk together cake flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. 3 ¼ cups (390 g) cake flour  1 tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt

Cream butter oil and sugar. In a second mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed, cream butter, oil and sugar together until smooth and combined about 2 to 3 minutes. ½ cup (1 stick, 113 g) unsalted butter ½ cup (120 mL) canola oil 2 cups (400 g) granulated white sugar

Add eggs, vanilla. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl after each addition. Add vanilla extract. Beat to combine. 4 large eggs room temperature 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Alternate dry ingredients with buttermilk. Alternate adding the flour mixture with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Do not overmix. Stop mixing once the last of the flour has been mixed in. I like to give the last few stirs with a spatula to ensure it&#39;s not overmixed. 1 ½ cups (360 mL) buttermilk

Bake. Spread half of the batter in the pan. Sprinkle on half of the brown sugar cinnamon filling evenly over the cake batter. Add remaining cake batter and sprinkle on remaining brown sugar cinnamon mixture. Swirl with the tip of a knife. Bake for about 40-45 minutes. The cake is done when it&#39;s golden brown on top and toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Remove cake from the oven.

Make glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together glaze ingredients. Spread glaze over a slightly warm cake. Slice and serve. 1 ½ cups (170 g) powdered sugar 3 Tablespoons honey 2 Tablespoon unsalted butter ½ teaspoon vanilla extract 3-4 Tablespoon milk
