Honey Roasted Cashews Recipe

granulated sugar, (divided)

cashews, roasted and salted, (Or peanuts, roasted and salted)

Prepare a baking sheet with parchment or a Silpat mat. Heat oven to 325°F.

In a large microwave-safe bowl add honey and microwave for 30-45 seconds, or until mixture starts to bubble. Remove and add the cayenne, sea salt and half of the sugar (¼ cup) and blend well.

Add cashews to the honey mixture and stir very quickly to coat.

Spread nuts in single layer onto prepared pan and oast for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure even browning. Nuts should be golden brown and lightly roasted. Remove from oven, sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Let cool for 3-5 minutes and then break apart. Allow to cool completely and store in an airtight container or mason jar with a tight-fitting lid. The nuts will keep for up to 2 weeks.

Pretzel M&Ms

pretzel sticks, roughly chopped

milk chocolate chips

brown sugar

corn syrup

unsalted butter

Make your favorite sweet salty peanuts at home!

Honey Roasted Peanuts

white sugar

chili powder

garlic powder

salt

Pre-heat oven to 350º.

In a large sauce pan over medium heat, stir together the butter, honey, and salt.  Heat until butter is melted and bubbly.  Add the peanuts and stir until they are well coated.

In a 9 X 13 baking dish, add peanuts in an even layer.  Place in oven checking every 5 and stirring to prevent burning. Remove peanuts whenever they've evenly browned, about 20 minutes.

While peanuts are roasting, mix together the chili powder, garlic powder, and sugar.

When peanuts are done, remove from oven and transfer to a metal mixing bowl.  Slowly add the sugar mixture, a little bit at a time, mixing well each time.  Continue to add sugar until well coated to your liking (all the mixture may not be necessary).

Continue mixing as peanuts cool to prevent sticking.
