Recreate Hooters Hot Wings at home. Buffalo wings have never tasted so good.

Hooters Hot Wings

chicken

whole wheat flour

all purpose flour

salt

paprika

cayenne pepper

In a large mixing bowl, mix flours, salt, paprika, and cayenne pepper together, and blend well.

Cut chicken wings into drumettes and flappers. Wash and drain chicken.

Coat chicken in flour mixture; refrigerate chicken wings for 90 minutes.

When ready to deep fry chicken wings, heat oil to 375 degrees. Place chicken pieces in hot oil, but do not crowd. Fry chicken wings until golden brown. Remove from oil and drain.

When all wings have been fried, place in a large bowl. Add hot sauce mixture and mix completely. Use a fork or tongs to place chicken pieces on a serving platter. Serve immediately and with lots of paper towels.

Hooters Chicken Wing Sauce

unsalted butter

Tabasco Sauce

brown sugar

balsamic vinegar

chili sauce

Mix all ingredients together. This will store well in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Serve this with the Hooter’s Hot Wings.

Heat the oil to 350 degrees F in a large pot. Cover a platter with a few layers of paper towels.

Drain the pickles in a colander. Place the pickles in a medium bowl and cover with the buttermilk.

Stir the flours, salt, paprika, and cayenne together in another bowl; mix well.

Take about a handful of the pickles out of the buttermilk and dredge in the seasoned flour. Shake off the excess flour and place the coated pickles in the hot oil. Be careful not to place too many pickles into the hot oil or the pickles won’t fry up crisp.

Fry the pickles until golden brown. Scoop them out with a slotted spoon and put them on the paper towels to drain. Continue frying pickles until all are done.

you how to make Hooter's fried pickles at home and in your own kitchen. My
name is Stephanie Manley, and I've been making copycat recipes on the
internet for over 15 years.

Today, I'm going to show you how to make a copycat recipe for Hooter's
fried pickles, and when you're done with these fried pickles, no one's
going to know that they didn't come from Hooter's. For Hooter's fried
pickles you're going to need the following.

You're going to need two cups of wheat flour, one cup of regular flour, two
teaspoons of salt, one teaspoon of paprika, a 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne
pepper, and an 11-ounce jar of regular dill pickles. And these are just
normal dill pickles that I found in the grocery store, and these will work
out great.

Now let's start cooking. You're going to need to pre-heat eight cups of
vegetable oil to 350 degrees. Drain the pickles in a colander and then
place them into a medium-sized bowl with two cups of buttermilk.

Place all the dried ingredients in a bowl and stir together. Take a handful
of pickles out of the buttermilk and dredge in the seasoned flour. Shake
off the excess flour til we have finished battering all of our pickles.
We've let them rest for just a couple of minutes, so we'll get them nice
and crisp.

We're going to drop just a couple in the grease at a time, because if we
added all these in at once, it would turn into a great big mess. And the
grease would get too cool, and it wouldn't fry them very well, so we're
going to add just a couple in at a time. Depending upon the size of your
pot, you could add a little bit more.

These cook up in just about 60 seconds, so in about 60 seconds, and you can
see these are nice, crisp, and golden brown. And I'm going to drain these
on a paper towel now. If you've never tried fried pickles from Hooter's,
you're in for a real treat. They're a crunchy, tangy, appetizer that goes
so well with many different things, so good.
