Spiral-Cut Grilled Hot Dogs get nice nooks and crannies to hold more toppings like mustard, ketchup and relish.  Grill these full-flavor dogs at your next cookout and put out a bar of condiments.

Spiral Cut Grilled Hot Dog Recipe

beef

hot dog buns

bell pepper (chopped fine)

dill pickles (chopped fine)

green cabbage (finely shredded)

onion (chopped fine)

apple cider vinegar

yellow mustard

sea salt

ground pepper

Jumbo hot dogs work better, but the regular classic size will work just fine, and you can also spiral-cut sausages

To make spiral-cut hot dogs, push a metal skewer through the center of each one. Place onto a cutting board, and run a sharp knife at an angle scoring them into a spiral all the way down each one to the end, but don&#39;t cut all the way through.

Carefully pull the hot dog off the skewer, and it is ready to grill. Clean your outdoor gas grill or charcoal grill grate with a wire brush and brush some oil on the grate to create a nonstick surface. Preheat your grill on medium high for 5 minutes. For a charcoal grill, light it and be sure the charcoal has some white ash and is burning hot, then grill.

Grill on medium heat for about 7-10 minutes over low open flames until grill marks are all over the surface appear. They will darken, char, and curl slightly and get deeper slits while grilling. Turn them often using tongs every few minutes. You can also cook hot dogs in a cast iron grill pan right on the stove. Pull the cooked ones over to indirect heat to keep warm.

Load onto bread buns with toppings, and serve in a food basket lined with paper for easy cleanup. You can toast the buns over the grill for a couple of minutes, some people spread a little butter or oil to get a nice toast. Load up with your favorite toppings and enjoy! corn salsa

Monterey Jack cheese

jalapeños (sliced)

For the lime-cilantro mayonnaise:

mayonnaise

lime juice

cilantro

sliced pickles

beef chili

sharp Canadian cheddar

ketchup (mustard, and relish)

tomato sauce

onions (green peppers, and baby mushrooms)

black olives

mozzarella cheese

parsley

bacon

macaroni and cheese

blue cheese

coleslaw

To start, you'll want to warm up the grill to 500F. While the oven is warming you'll want to use a pairing knife to cut little slits along the hot dog wieners so they cook evenly. Mark the hot dog every half-inch and you should only be cutting into the dog halfway through the meat. Then, you're ready to put the hot dogs on the grill and cook them for about 5 minutes. You want to make sure to rotate the dogs as they cool so that each side gets nice and browned. Then, you can use the wieners for any of the following preparations:

Prepare your hot dogs:

Open up your buns but leave them cold for now. You'll cook them in the next steps below so you don't want them to get overcooked and too hard to eat. They'll only need a couple of minutes to warm up and start getting crispy. Next, take a spoonful of your amazing corn salsa and spread it onto each bun evenly making sure the entire inside is covered. Next, place the wiener into the bun and immediately throw some of your Monterey Jack cheese on top. Add your grilled jalapenos on top and then carefully place each of your dogs into a casserole dish that is large enough to fit all your dogs. Throw the dish into an oven heated to 250F and bake everything together for 10-15 minutes. You want to make sure the cheese is nice and melted and the bun becomes very toasty. When they are all done cooking you can go ahead and add your garnish like the lime-cilantro mayo.

For the Tex-Mex:

Just like with your Tex-Mex hot dogs, you want to open up your buns but you don't want to actually cook them yet. Instead, line both sides of the bun with some of your pickle slices. Then, you're ready to put the wieners inside your buns and top them off with a generous helping of some chili. Make sure the chili is evenly spread throughout the entire hot dog. Put some cheese on top of everything and then place your dogs carefully into a casserole dish to get ready to throw in the oven. Place the dish into the oven at 250F and cook for 10-15 minutes. As long as the cheese has melted fully and the bun is nice and toasty you're ready to take them out of the oven. Garnish with the classic mustard, ketchup, and relish to make this dog really stand out.

For the County Fare:

A pizza dog involves opening your buns just like you did in the previous two recipes. This time though, you'll be adding some pizza sauce into each bun while making sure to spread it evenly. Next, place the olives of your choice onto only one side of the hot dog bun and then add your sautéed veggies to the other side of your bun. Now you're ready to add your cheese for the pizza dog and be generous because we all know cheese is really what makes a pizza good. Then, like you did in the previous two steps, place your dogs into a baking dish and stick it all in the oven. Make sure the oven was heated to 250F and cooked for around 10-15 minutes. Once your cheese is nice and melted and your bun has a beautiful brown crisp to it, you are ready to serve. You can even add some parsley to make it more official.

Pizza Dog:

Take out your buns and open them up and place your bacon pieces on each side of your bun. Take your cooked mac and cheese and then spread it across the entire bun making sure it is even. Then, put your wiener on top of it all and sprinkle some cheese on top. Throw everything into your casserole dish and then place it all in an oven heated to 250F for 10-15 minutes. Just like the other dishes, the cheese should be nice and melted and the bun should be crispy. When the dogs are done, put some coleslaw on top and serve it to your guests.

For the Bacon Mac ‘N Cheese:

Cook pasta according to package directions.&nbsp;

In a small pot heat together American cheese, and half and half, stir continually until sauce a smooth and creamy texture. Add truffle oil into macaroni and cheese, blend oil into the cheese sauce.&nbsp;

When pasta is done pour pasta into the cheese sauce, coat pasta with cheese sauce. Cook or warm hot dogs. Place hot dogs into buns, and then spoon a couple of tablespoons of macaroni and cheese over hot dogs. Add crumbled bacon on top of macaroni and cheese.

Hi. This is Stephanie Manley with Copykat.com. Many of you have requested
the Cracker Barrel Sunday fried chicken, and here is my recipe for the
Cracker Barrel Sunday fried chicken. It's really, really easy. Very simple
to do. So now, you can have this one any night of the week. We just need
some flour, some buttermilk, a couple of chicken breasts, and salt and
pepper. So, please click on the link below in the description box for the
exact measurements. This recipe's also in my second book, but I'm just
making a half a batch right now. So, we are adding salt and pepper to our
flour, and we're going to stir this through. Be careful when working with
raw chicken. Make sure you wash your hands after every time you actually
touch the raw chicken, because no one wants any form of cross
contamination. Alright.

So, the first thing we're going to do is take our chicken breast, and
we're going to dredge it in the flour. Just cut it with flour, shake off
the excess, dip it in the buttermilk. Then, we go back to the flour, dredge
it in the flour again, and then we're going to set it aside. Now, it's
important that you let this rest for a good 7-8 minutes before you actually
begin cooking it. This gives the flour a chance to expand. That way, that
crust stays on. It doesn't take any chances on falling off. So again,
dredge in the flour, buttermilk and the flour again, wait a few minutes,
and then the next thing we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and
deep fry this. So, I have a pot behind me at about 350 degrees. I'm using
peanut oil. We will cook those up in just a few seconds.

So, now we're ready to go ahead and fry up our chicken. Now, just one
note. You cannot reuse the flour or the buttermilk. Just go ahead and drop
this in. Let it cook 5-7 minutes, and it will be nice and golden brown.
After about 6 or 7 minutes, these are perfectly brown. If your oil doesn't
come up all the way up over the top, you maybe need to flip these over
about half way through cooking to make sure they're perfectly brown on both

Truffle Macaroni and Cheese Bacon Hot Dog inspired by Disney Hollywood Studios Theme Park

Chili Hot Dog Tater Tot Casserole

dogs

(15 oz) cans chili (or try my homemade chili recipe below)

medium yellow onion, diced

cheddar cheese, shredded

(32 ounces) bag frozen tater tots

green onions,

yellow onion, diced

rib celery, diced small

garlic,

TBS white granulated sugar

TBS yellow mustard

tsp chili powder

tsp cumin

Worcestershire sauce

salt

tsp black pepper

tomato paste

tomato

water

In large skillet over medium high heat, bring 2 TBS cooking oil to a sizzle. Add in onion &amp; celery. Cook for 3-4 minutes until lightly browned &amp; softened. Add in garlic and stir for 30 seconds. Add in ground beef. Break it up and brown. Smash the ground beef while cooking to thin out. Drain excess grease after browned.Stir in sugar, mustard, chili powder, cumin, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, and water. Simmer for 20 minutes on low heat. Cool to thicken.

To make homemade hot dog chili (if not using canned chili from store)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Pour cans of chili (or homemade version of chili into bottom of prepared baking dish.

Place cut up hot dogs on top of chili &amp; stir to coat. Spread evenly.

Top with diced onion. Sprinkle with 4 oz of shredded cheddar cheese.

Top with frozen tater tots in 1 layer.

Bake for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with remainder cheese on top and bake another 10-15 minutes until tots are crispy on top and casserole heated through. Let sit 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with green onions, if desired.
