These easy jalapeno poppers are a game day favorite! Jalapenos are stuffed with a cheesy filling, topped with a buttery bread crumb topping and baked until golden.

Jalapeno Poppers

jalapeno peppers

cream cheese (softened)

garlic powder

sharp cheddar (shredded)

chives (finely chopped)

bread crumbs

butter (melted)

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Wearing gloves, slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise. Using a small spoon, scoop out the seeds and membranes.

In a bowl mix cream cheese, garlic powder, cheddar cheese and chives (if using).

In a separate bowl, combine Panko crumbs and melted butter.

Fill jalapenos with the cheese mixture. Top with crumbs.

Place on a baking pan and bake 18-22 minutes or until golden.

Cool 5-10 minutes before serving.

Jalapeño Popper Chicken And Rice

lbs chicken breast (boneless, skinless)

jasmine rice (or 2 cups quick cooking rice (uncooked))

oz cream cheese (softened)

chicken broth

cheddar cheese (grated)

bacon

Jalapeño Popper Chicken and Rice

Trim any excess fat or gristle off of the chicken and cut it into 2 inch chunks.

Combine the cream cheese and chicken broth in a large baking dish and whisk until combined.

Add rice, and jalapeño peppers and mix to evenly combine.&nbsp; Lay the chicken pieces on top of the mixture and gently press until covered. Sprinkle the cheese over the top of the casserole.

Bake covered at 375˚F for 50 minutes. Remove the foil and add crumbled bacon over the top and continue to cook uncovered for an additional 5-15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the rice is tender.

Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with more fresh jalapeño slices if desired. Then serve warm and enjoy!

(8-oz.) block cream cheese,

Made this in a slow cooker and it was way too thick.  Took a really long time to get a nice creamy dip-able consistency. Flavor was delish but I had to thin it out with milk. Definitely will make it again, but with a few tweaks to the recipe.

Very good but tasted mostly like bacon. I added an extra jalapeño and it was still just like a bacon dip. Still tasty but not truly “jalapeño popper” dip

I removed the mayo.  It doesn’t need it. The mayo just makes it super greasy

Jalapeño Popper Dip Will Be The Hottest Snack at Your Next Party!

Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese is a delectable combination of baked cream cheese filled jalapenos, gooey cheddar, Monterey Jack cheese, and crispy bacon.

Jalapeno Popper Sandwich

Italian bread

Cilantro chopped (optional)

Stuff each jalapeno half with approximately 1 ounce of cream cheese. Bake stuffed jalapenos on cookie sheet for 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven.

Place 1 slice each cheddar cheese on 2 bread slices. Place 1 slice each Monterey Jack on 2 bread slices. Each sandwich will have both kinds of cheese. Slice the cooked stuffed jalapenos into bite size pieces. Divide the jalapeno slices between the 2 slices of bread with cheddar. Add the 4 slices bacon to the slices of bread with Monetery Jack. If desired add chopped cilantro to one side. Combine the slices of bread to form 2 sandwiches.

Top each sandwich with several pats of butter. Place in skillet over medium low heat butter side down.  Top with more pats of butter. Now grill each side until lightly browned. Cheese should be melted and gooey.

Another way to tell if the jalapeño is hot is by looking at the tip.... pointy tip hot, rounded tip mild.
Love this recipe idea... I’m going to try a variation by mixing cream cheese, canned chopped jalapeños and shredded cheese and spreading that on the bread, add the bacon and toast.

The hotter the better depending if your from New Mexico or not! Chile capital of the US.  So make sure they taste like jalepenos not bell peppers. ?

I can not handle hot food, I substituted the jalapeños with green bell peppers, same flavor without the heat. Make the hot ones for my husband and boys.

Awesome recipe. My mouth watered when seeing this! However, I knew I had the ingredients from leftovers, but just not in the recipes form. I used french bread, toweled off some pickled jalapenos, used real bacon bits, whipped cream cheese, mexican blend shredded cheese, and followed the rest of the recipe. I made it on good non-stick pan and covered a few times to hold in some in heat. Amazing recipe and idea! Thanks Smalltownwoman!

Made this yesterday and my 15 year old son already asked for me to make it again. He’s now eaten 5 of these in 2 days, I’d say he’s found a new favorite sandwich!  I used pepper jack instead of Monterey and I left the jalapeños poppers whole instead of cutting up,  which made easier for flipping. Great idea, glad we tried it!

I saw a picture of this on Facebook (I think) and immediately had to try it.  Thanks for the tips on choosing jalapenos, because the ones I bought were a bid mild for my liking, but I don't think I can ever eat a regular grilled cheese sandwich ever again.

oz OR 1 cup room temperature cream cheese

jalapenos (seeds and flesh removed)

all purpose flour

onion powder

eggs

lime

tbsp chopped cilantro

tbsp chipotle in adobo

Salt and pepper

Jalapeño Popper Bagels Recipe

Cream Cheese

Bacon Slices (Cooked & Chopped)

Bagels (Halved)

Cup Monterey Jack Cheese (Shredded)

Cup White Cheddar (Shredded)

Jalapeños (Seeded and Diced)

Garlic Powder

Preheat your oven to 350˚.

In large bowl, stir together cream cheese, white cheddar, half of the Monterey Jack, Jalapeños, bacon, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Place halved bagels cut side up on a baking sheet. Spread cream cheese mixture onto bagels.

Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.

Pillsbury Crescent Rounds, (cut in half)

jalapenos, (stem and seeds removed, cut in fourths)

cream cheese, (softened)

sharp cheddar, (shredded)

bacon slices, (cooked and crumbled)

½ teaspoon Slap Ya Mama

garlic salt

Preheat the oven to 350°.

Cut the crescent dough in half to create 16 strips of dough. Repeat with other dough. Set aside.

In a medium sized mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add in the shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, and seasonings. Stir to mix well.

Cut jalapenos in half vertically, then in half horizontally, and end up with 4 pieces per jalapeno.

Fill with cream cheese mixture. Place a lil’ smokie on top of cream cheese mixture and wrap with a dough strip. Place wrapped lil’ smokies on a baking sheet.

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from oven and serve immediately.

This jalapeno popper grilled cheese is creamy, crispy (thanks to the parmesan crust), and just the right amount of spicy all in one perfect package.

tbsp butter (at room temperature)

tbsp parmesan (finely shredded)

oz cream cheese (at room temperature)

cheddar cheese (shredded)

1.5 tbsp jalapenos*, diced (or more, to taste)

salt and pepper

Combine cream cheese, jalapeños, garlic powder, and salt and pepper in a small bowl. Mix well until combined.

Spread jalapeño filling on 1 slice of bread. Top with shredded cheddar cheese then remaining slice of bread to form a sandwich.

Spread half of the butter on top of the sandwich. Use your fingers to &quot;press&quot; half the parmesan into the butter so it sticks to make the parmesan crust. You&#039;ll do the same thing to the other half once it&#039;s in the pan.Heat your pan on medium heat for a few minutes. Add the sandwich with the butter and parmesan side down. Add the other half of butter and parmesan to the other side of the sandwich, making sure to press the parmesan in with your fingers. Let it cook for 4-5 minutes. (You&#039;ll know it&#039;s ready to flip when the outside cheese is cooked because it will easily lift off the pan)

Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side for another 4-5 minutes, or until golden and crisped to your liking! 

Bacon Wrapped Cream Cheese Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers, with or without bacon, are full of flavor, oh so cheesy and baked, fried or grilled.

Bacon Wrapped Cream Cheese Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers

bacon, diced

cheddar cheese, shredded

Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

cream cheese, softened

green onions, thinly sliced

panko bread crumbs

lime juice

chili powder, taco seasoning, curry powder, ground cumin, paprika

cayenne pepper, red pepper

cooked medium shrimp, deveined and shelled (one for each jalapeño half), optional

cooked ground beef, leftover roast beef, sausage, shredded chicken or crab meat

bacon strips (cut in half crosswise to match number of jalapeño halves)

toothpick for each jalapeño half

Barbecue Sauce of choice

If using shrimp, sauté in skillet in 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil until pink on both sides.  Set aside until ready to use.

If using 1/2 pound ground beef or sausage use a skillet to brown it, then place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Allow meat to totally cool before blending with cheese mixture. 

Cook diced bacon in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat until crispy, 8 to 9 minutes. Transfer to paper towel–lined plate. Set aside.

Mix cheddar, Monterey Jack, cream cheese, bacon, garlic powder, scallions, cilantro or parsley, panko, egg yolk, lime juice, seasoning of choice, bacon and any extra options you want to include together in bowl until incorporated and nice and creamy.

Adjust your oven rack to upper-middle position and preheat your oven to 500 degrees. Prepare your rimmed baking sheet with a wire rack lightly coated with cooking spray.

Season jalapeños with sprinkles of salt and place cut side down on top of your wire rack. Bake until just starting t become tender, between 4 and 5 minutes.

Remove jalapeños from oven and set aside to cool.

Set your oven&#039;s temperature to 450 degrees.

Once jalapenos are cool enough to handle, flip them over so the cut side is facing up.

Divide cheese mixture among each of your jalapeños, carefully pressing into each. Fill each jalapeño about 2/3 full with cheese mixture and do not overfill them.

Bake until filling is a light golden brown, about 10 minutes. If desired, place under broiler for 2-3 minutes to lightly brown tops. Just keep a close watch because these poppers can burn  fast. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
