This one pot dish is perfect for busy weeknights when dinner needs to be on the table is less than 30 minutes. Keto skillet lasagna has all the meaty, creamy layers of a classic lasagna combined into one skillet. Sheets of low carb, gluten-free noodles made from hearts of palm round out this family loving keto dinner.

Keto Skillet Lasagna

sausage

garlic, garlic powder

oz canned crushed tomatoes

tomato sauce

oz Natural Heaven Hearts of Palm Lasagna Noodles

spinach leaves

ricotta cheese

mozzarella cheese, sliced

parmesan cheese

Add ground sausage and ground beef to a preheated skillet and cook over medium-high heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Add Italian seasoning, salt and garlic. Mix until combined.

Stir in crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil.

Add hearts of palm lasagna noodle. Reduce heat and simmer, covered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in spinach and ricotta cheese. Top with mozzarella slices. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes, then top with parmesan cheese.

This "Just Like the Real Thing" keto lasagna is rich and delicious, with layers of low carb noodles topped with savory meat sauce, creamy ricotta cheese, and melty mozzarella cheese. It is the ultimate in low carb comfort food.

"Just Like The Real Thing" Keto Lasagna

eggs

oz cream cheese, softened

Parmesan cheese, grated

mozzarella cheese, shredded

Italian seasoning

garlic powder

onion powder

beef (I get my grass-fed beef here)

Three Cheese Marinara Sauce, divided (get the recipe here)

whole milk ricotta cheese

onion

oregano

basil

Preheat oven to 375° Line a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper. Grease the parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, using a hand mixer, cream together the cream cheese and eggs.

Next, add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Using a rubber spatula, fold in mozzarella cheese and mix until well incorporated.

Spread the mixture into the baking dish, forming a nice even layer.

Bake on the middle rack for 20 to 25 minutes.

When the "noodles" are done baking, cool in the fridge for about 20 minutes and then cut into thirds. This makes three perfectly sized "noodle" layers for an 8.5 X 4.5 X 2.5 loaf pan.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, combine the ground beef, onion, oregano, garlic powder, dried basil and a pinch of salt. Cook until the meat is browned.

Drain excess fat from pan and add 1 cup marinara sauce to meat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

Pour ¼ cup marinara sauce into bottom of loaf pan. Top with the first “noodle” layer

Layer a third of the ground beef mixture. Top with ¼ cup mozzarella cheese and 3 tbsp ricotta cheese, and cover with another “noodle” layer. Repeat these steps.

Cover the top “noodle” layer with remaining meat sauce, marinara and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over top. Bake for 20 minutes.

I have made this recipe many times and it never fails to please!  I don't miss carb-y noodles because the recipe "noodles" are fantastic.  My family highly recommends this recipe - and you've got to try others by Kyndra.  She is a recipe genius.

I agree that 6 servings works. My husband ate 2 and I ate 1 when I made it last week. Doubled it for a potluck tonight and being a potluck, I plan to cut it into at least 16. I also used more ricotta with 2 eggs.and parsley mixed in. I may make a sign for it that says Impasta Lasagna!

I've made this recipe before and it tastes amazing!  But mine didn't slice well, probably because I used too much sauce.  So this time I'm going to follow the recipe exactly.  The recipe calls for 1-1/2 cups of marinara but I only see where 1 cup is used in the directions (3/4 c mixed with the filling and 1/4c in the bottom of the pan).  Where does the extra 1/2 cup of sauce go?

My husband loved this recipe and he doesn't usually even like regular lasagna. He said he wants it on our regular  rotation. I used Rao's vodka marinara, which is expensive at $6 per jar.. I may try to double the recipe next time and use a larger pan. Also, I always shred my own cheese because it tastes fresher and doesn't have the additives of preshredded. Thanks for bringing comfort food back to the low carb lifestyle!

I do have one question for you: the recipe says four servings. Is that correct? I used the pan size recommended and have found that unless I have teenage boys eating (which I don't!), that pan usually results in 6-8 servings. Because the lasagna is so rich and filling, eating 1/4 of that pan would be waaaaay too much. Just curious if anyone else has found that. If not, maybe it's just me!

This was absolutely delicious. The 'noodle' is genius. My husband agrees, this is better than a real noodle lasagna. I doubled the recipe, put it all together and froze it for a few days, took it out to thaw overnight and baked it. It was so dang good. This was soooooo good!  I made my own sauce from scratch (basically meat, onions, red pepper, garlic, celery, can of tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste) and let it simmer down. But I even screwed up the noodles slightly, in that I used a slightly too small pan, and it still was a hit with my non-keto/low-carb boyfriend, who grew up in Chicago and is a total pasta/pizza snob. The "noodles" were perfect...they were the right texture to mimic real noodles so you didn't feel like you were just eating a glob of cheese and meat, but they also were neutral enough in flavor so you didn't feel like you were eating eggs.  Zucchini noodles didn't have the right texture, but this was perfect.  I'm SOOOO impressed and am going to keep experimenting with the noodle recipe to see if I can't come up with some other variations to use in different recipes. Thank you!

I made this lasagna last night for dinner.  It was AMAZING!!  The only change I made was to do 1/2 beef and 1/2 italian sausage for the meat, otherwise followed the recipe exactly as written.  I was very intrigued on how the "noodles" would turn out.  They were magically the same texture as real pasta noodles!!  I quietly served this to my non-keto family and no one noticed the difference.  This will be added to the regular dinner rotation.  Thank you!!!

We loved this!!!! I have a very picky, super skinny, carb-addicted son and he ate almost half of it. Next time I'll add more pepper flakes because we're all about the spice. Could I do the same "noodle" recipe with pepper jack and cheddar? Would the cheddar be too oily? I'm asking because I'm thinking it would make great "dumplings" for chicken and dumplings? I love this LC recipe because it doesn't taste low carb. I also like to just make the noodles and melt mozzarella on them to make breadsticks. Dipped in ranch they are amazing.

I made this for my husband and I for dinner and he is like having a toddler in the house, he doesn't like anything! He loved it! In fact I had to hide some for my lunch. It really is the best lasagna ever. It is so perfect I am making it for my seniors at my recreation center in October because they wanted a catered Italian lunch! I will report back with how it goes. I am going to have to quadruple the recipe and make 2 9 x 13 pans and I will serve a salad with it. Thank you so much for this recipe Kyndra!!!

I made this yesterday for my wife and I and we were extremely surprised by the outcome.  It was delicious!!!

A few slight adjustments to the recipe:  First, I used Rao's marinara.  I also didn't add the spice mix to the beef until it was almost done and then just incorporated it and let it bloom for 30 seconds or so before adding the marinara.  The beef mixture also needed just a little bit of water--my mixture was a little too dry.

The next time I make it I'm going to adjust slightly for our palates: 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp red pepper flakes with the beef .  I think also adding a little bit of fresh basil (chiffonade cut) on top after it comes out of the oven would give it a good fresh herb boost.

I never comment on recipes but this one was phenomenal! And I had to say thank you for this! This was the most amazing recipe! It was delicious and easy to make (a bit more work because we had to make the noodles but worth every second). We doubled the recipe to make a 9x13 pan and it was easily the best lasagna either of us has ever had. Before we made it, I searched the comments for any issues people have had with it, just to be prepared. I couldn't find a single negative comment and now I know why! Thank you so much again!

I eat keto because I am Insulin resistant.  I love this recipe.  I have made it several times.  Super jealous that your hubby eats low carb, too.  Life would be easier if I didn't have to cook 2 different meals!

I made sure my "noodle" ingredients were warmish and whizzed it all up in my Ninja then poured it onto a Silpat lined sheet pan.  Quick and easy.  Great that night better the next couple of times we warmed it up.  I'm thinking of trying to cut it thin like spaghetti and use it in a couple casseroles we love.  I'm also not a ricotta fan so I always use whole fat cottage cheese whizzed up to a paste.  You do have to beware of extra salt though.

This recipe is fantastic!  My husband ate it and said it tastes better than the pasta version. I did make the 3 cheese ;marinara and I think that made it taste even more delicious. It's so filling and I missed absolutely nothing about orginial lasagna!! I can't wait to get your cookbook.

Are you making your noodles in a deep baking dish like a Pyrex or a shallow, metal jelly roll pan? I have made this a few times with the pan and the noodle comes out a little more done on the bottom than I’d like. I’m wondering if it’s the pan or my oven or what. Suggestions? Thank you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I have been Keto for almost 5 years now and am always in search of new recipe ideas. This 'pasta' is a game changer.  I have been making zucchini or eggplant bases for my lasagna up until now, but this recipe is the gear!  Hubby loved it, I took left overs to work and both my co-workers (non keto) loved it.  We are doing a pot luck this weekend and work and they have asked me to make the Keto Lasagna...........SCORE!  This recipe was very simple to make and the texture of the 'pasta' was very close to the real thing, the fact that it is made with typical lasagna ingredients makes it definitely a winner.  Awesome.

I was kind of skeptical before I made it, because of the other recipes that claim to be "Just Like The Real Thing". But this was DELICIOUS!!   The night I made this lasagna, it was very good.. but the next night I had the leftovers, OMG!!  It was simply amazingly delicious.  I HIGHLY recommend anyone doing the KETO or just lowering your carb intake, to try this recipe. I'm making more tonight. It stores well, I plan to portion it out, freeze and vacuum seal it.

This was by far the best KETO recipe I’ve made. My 4 picky eaters SMASHED it. I doubled the sauce and tripled the “noodles” making them each 9x13 to make 3 layers it made 12 servings at 459 cal each. Super impressed.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!  This is outstanding.  Honestly just an amazing lasagna, I would put it against most "authentic" versions in a heartbeat.  I used ground moose and venison for a little twist.  Lots of folks use the RAO's sauce, which I have used as well.  I now use "Organico Bello", kale, tomato, and basil sauce.  Net 2 grams per half cup and I find it a little more rich than RAO's, and a dollar cheaper.  Made it twice in the last 2 weeks, and have served it to 16 people (the second one I made weighed 8.5lbs).  This one is a keeper.

This was literally the BEST lasagna I've ever made period. I used Rao's sensitive sauce marinara instead of the one in this recipe but it turned out great! Soooo cheesy and delicious! This was a wonderful surprise! The noodle was actually better than pasta, and I've decided to make it as a "bread" alternative as well. I thought I'd have to settle for pasta without the pasta (just sauce and meat), but this recipe proved me wrong.

This lasagna is probably the best I've ever had! I doubt I'll say something that others haven't above, but I loved this recipe and I will DEFINITELY make it again (the sooner the better)! Next time I think I will make the noodles ahead of time, and I'll do three layers of noodles- I doubled the recipe and put it in a 13x9 dish so I only had 2 noodle layers. I think I would also put the ricotta on top of the noodle layer so it spreads a little easier and neater. Other that that, this was perfect!

It was absolutely delicious but I would cut down the herbs a bit. It was just too much fine herbs....in the sauce, in the noodles and the filling!  Next time, I will use half the amount. I make double the batch and do 1 lb of ground beef + 1lb of sausage meat (skip the salt for the filling as the sausage is already salty)so my husband can have some even if he's not on the keto diet.

Simple ingredients and absolutely delicious!!! The first time I made the loaf size. My husband alone ate half! I doubled it and it still didn't last. This is one of the best lasagna recipes I've tried. I made it for a family get-together and no one guessed there wasn't any noodles! When I told my brother there wasn't any noodles, he pointed at the "noodle" and asked, "what's that then if not a noodle?"

Excellent recipe! I’m an accomplished home chef who cooks keto for herself and standard for my sweetie. I’ve always made lasagna from scratch so this recipe is perfect for me. I think it’s delicious. Even my sweetie enjoyed it! He finds a lot of keto recipes  to be too unctuous, but not this one. I used fresh mozzarella in the filling. This resulted in some extra moisture which was ok because I used a very concentrated sauce (pizza sauce, actually).

Lasagna is my favorite meal , so I'm super picky about the taste. This fulfilled my lasagna dreams. 😍 The "noodles" stay firm with the right  amount of chewiness to mimic real lasagna noodles. I've been living a fasted life with a very low carb  and low sugar diet. I am very happy to have found this site and will be trying many other recipes. My parents were also very impressed. My husband and I love this keto lasagna recipe sooo much! It’s better than normal lasagna, I don’t think I will ever make lasagna any other way again. I first made this last summer when I was helping my daughter who had surgery. I left her freezer well stocked with prepared portioned meals. Then made it last week for my husband and tonight for a community potluck. Well, I forgot to take a before picture but took an after. I’ll see if I can put it on Insta.

This lasagna was very delicious. It was incredibly filling. We made everything exactly as directed except we used 1/2 lb of ground Italian sausage and 1/2 lb of ground beef and use Rao's Marinara with the additions your sauce had of cheese. I'd like to say that we've been doing Keto now for about 6 months and these "noodles" are the best we have ever tried and we have tried many varieties, including veggies and other Keto subs. These tasted great and held up well. We even had 4 layers in the loaf pan. The whole dish was very beautiful and flavorful. My kids, 11 and 9, don't really like Keto meals much and my daughter was surprised by this meal and cleared her plate! My mom, not Keto at all, ate her whole serving as well and said it was delicious!  I would definitely make this again and I am thinking about finding other ways I could use that noodle recipe - maybe instead of Italian seasonings, add chicken base and thyme and add thin strips at the end of cooking chicken soup and there is chicken noodle soup for the family. I can see that you don't need another review - this was great.  We made slight changes just because I had some leftover alfredo I needed to use up.  Did this recipe, except that I cut the "noodles" a bit different and made two layers for my 9x13 pan.  Used the leftover alfredo mixed with an egg and some ricotta to make a center layers - again, just to clean out the fridge.  Oh... forgot, did add some fine chopped kale to the meat sauce.  We loved it.

Oh wowwie! I just made this for my family tonight and we all think you are a culinary goddess.  How did you get that to taste BETTER than lasagna noodles? I am keto vegetarian, my husband is a keto carnivore and my son wants nothing to do with keto...so, I made 3 individual servings and everyone was blissfully happy! We love this recipe!  We feel that in order to have long term success in living a keto lifestyle we need to find keto friendly replacements for all of our favorite foods.  This one will replace our old lasagna recipe. We didn't miss the pasta at all. It's a great keto substitute.

I make this often and even my carb eating teens look forward to it.  I always double the recipe.
 It's delicious and the "noodles" make it very filling.  My kids even say they like it better than pasta lasagna noodles.  Sauce is very tasty, I've made it on its own before.

This is my favorite recipe ever! I usually double the recipe and make a big 9 by 12 pan with two layers of noodles. Hubby and I like it better than “regular” lasagna! So so good!

Oh my gosh! This really is the most as amazing recipe. I made mine with a planr based mince ( for all the vegetarians out there) and it was sensational!!!

This recipe is ridiculously delicious!!! We love so many from Peace, Love &amp; Low Carb and have for a long time (and continue them in our regular rotations!), but this is among the best of anything I make.
