This Keto biscuits with sausage gravy recipe makes for a delicious Southern breakfast or brunch.  And each serving has just 4g net carbs.

Southern Keto Biscuits and Gravy

butter, melted

coconut flour

baking powder

eggs

mozzarella cheese

butter

breakfast sausage

heavy whipping cream

water, divided

arrowroot powder

Step 1. 

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees F and liberally grease 6 wells of a muffin pan.

2.  Melt biscuit butter and set aside to cool.

3.  Mix coconut flour and baking powder in a medium-sized bowl

4.  Lightly beat eggs and mix with melted butter in a small bowl.  Add the mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix well.

6.  Divide the batter into 6 portions and roll them into balls with your hands.  Add a ball of biscuit dough to each of the 6 greased wells of the muffin pan.

Step 7.  Bake for 14-16 minutes until lightly browned.

8.  Cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then carefully remove from the pan and move to a cooling rack.

9.  Add 1 tablespoon butter to a large skillet and melt over Medium-High heat.

10.  Add sausage and brown, breaking it into bits, 5 minutes.

11.  Add heavy whipping cream and 1/4 cup water to the pan and bring to a simmer.  Simmer for 8 minutes.  

12.  Dissolve arrowroot in 1/4 cup water.  Add arrowroot mixture to the pan and return to a simmer.

14.  Cut biscuits in half and pour 1/6 of the low carb sausage gravy on top of each one.  

I'm a Southern girl so I've been looking for a good sausage gravy and biscuits recipe.  This recipe was perfect.

This Keto Sausage Gravy recipe is a Southern tradition for breakfast, and uses ingredients that allow you to stay on your low carb diet. It is quick, easy, and very tasty, so much so that you will not believe that you are eating something low carb!!
Along with this gravy try our low carb biscuit recipe too, a perfect combination for a hearty breakfast. Make them both ahead and you will have your breakfast in a few minutes.

Keto Sausage Gravy

Sausage, ground

Tbsp Butter, softened

Cream Cheese, softened

Heavy Cream

Chicken Broth

¼ tsp Xanthan Gum

Salt

Pepper

½ tsp Onion Powder

½ tsp Garlic Powder

Our first step is to get your ground sausage and stick it into the frying pan. Over medium heat, start to cook it, breaking it up into small pieces. Continue to stir the meat, cooking it until there is no more pink left.

Next cut up the butter and cream cheese and then add them to the frying pan with the meat. Continue to stir them into the meat as they melt and blend fully.

Now add the broth and cream while continuing to stir. Add the spices too at this point.

 This is also the time that you should add the xanthan gum so it can start to thicken the gravy. A little goes a long way so don’t be tempted to use more than the recipe calls for. Blend everything together thoroughly.

Serve on top of a keto biscuit that you have already sliced in half. Enjoy!

Southern comfort meets chaffle in this Easy Chaffle recipe with Keto Sausage Gravy. Creamy and delicious this low carb sausage gravy is easy to make, and it tastes amazing.

Easy Chaffle with Keto Sausage Gravy Recipe

mozzarella cheese, grated

water

tsp baking powder

salt

breakfast sausage, browned

chicken broth

tbsp heavy whipping cream

tsp cream cheese, softened

garlic powder

pepper

onion powder (optional)

Plug Dash Mini Waffle Maker into the wall and allow to heat up. Grease lightly or use cooking spray.

Combine all the ingredients for the chaffle into a small bowl and stir to combine well.

Pour half of the chaffle batter onto the waffle maker, then shut the lid and cook for approx 4 minutes.

Remove chaffle from waffle maker and repeat the same process to make the second chaffle. Set aside to crisp.

Cook one pound of breakfast sausage and drain. Reserve 1/4 cup for this recipe.Tip: Make sausage patties out of the rest of the sausage and reserve 1/4 a cup to brown for this recipe. If you aren&#x27;t familiar with breakfast sausage, it is crumbled like ground beef.

Wipe excess grease from the skillet and add 1/4 cup browned breakfast sausage and the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil stirring continuously.

Reduce heat to medium and continue to cook down with the lid off so that it begins to thicken for approx 5-7 minutes. If you&#x27;d like it very thick, you can add a bit of Xanthan Gum, but if you are patient with it simmering the keto sausage gravy will thicken. Then, it will thicken even more as it cools.

Add salt and pepper to taste and spoon keto sausage gravy over chaffles.

An old Southern favorite turned Keto! Light and fluffy biscuits smothered with creamy sausage gravy, you would not believe they are Low Carb!

Keto Biscuits and Gravy

Almond Flour

eggs (beaten)

Sour Cream

Grass-Fed Butter (melted)

Shredded Cheddar Cheese

swerve confectioners (or powdered erythritol)

Baking Powder

baking soda

uncured breakfast sausage (crumbled)

almond milk

heavy cream

mascarpone cheese

nutmeg

Salt and pepper

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

Add the almond flour, baking powder, Swerve and baking soda to a bowl and mix using a hand whisk.

In a separate bowl, add the eggs, sour cream and melted butter and mix until combined.  Add in the cheese and continue mixing. Then add the dry ingredients into the wet and mix until well combined.

Scoop the biscuit mix into silicone muffin pan liners (or spray a non-stick muffin pan with non-stick spray) and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the tops are slightly golden.

For the Biscuits

Add the sausage to a large frying pan and cook over medium heat.  Once the sausage is cooked through, add in the mascarpone cheese and melt it.  Then add in the rest of the ingredients and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, or until the gravy has thickened nicely.

Allow the biscuits to cool slightly before cutting them open.  Once slightly cooled, slice the biscuits in half and pour some of the sausage gravy over the top.

Store leftovers in the fridge or freezer.
