These Homemade Lemon Truffles are tangy, creamy and sweet. All you need is a few simple ingredients. After mixing the cake mix, sugar, butter, and lemon juice together, roll into small balls.

Homemade Lemon Truffles Recipe

lemon cake mix ((15 ounces))

butter (melted)

lemon juice

sugar

lemon zest (optional)

yellow sprinkles

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Pour the lemon cake mix onto a baking sheet and spread it evenly. (You can substitute vanillas cake mix.)

Bake for 5 minutes.

In a large bowl, mix the baked cake mix, sugar, melted butter, lemon juice, and zest until it starts to form a dough.

Scoop some dough into a spoon and roll each into 1 1/2-inch balls. Tip: Butter your hands with the solid cube of butter, so that the balls won’t be too sticky to handle.

Roll each truffle into the sprinkles to coat and set onto a separate plate or container.

Chill for an hour to set.

Cover tightly and store truffles in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Lemon Truffles are a smooth, and creamy bite-size treat made with white chocolate ganache and lots of lemon flavor. A no bake dessert with a bright summertime taste!

Lemon Truffles

white chocolate chips

butter

lemon

tbsp heavy whipping cream

lemon extract

vanilla extract

yellow food coloring ((optional))

Add white chocolate chips to a medium mixing bowl. Set aside.

In a small saucepan melt the butter and add lemon zest. Stir in heavy cream and let it come up In temperature until just before it is boiling.

Pour the cream mixture through a fine-mesh sieve over the white chocolate chips. Add the lemon and vanilla extract. Add the food coloring, then stir until the mixture is smooth.

Cover and refrigerate the chocolate chip mixture until it is firm enough to handle, about 30 minutes.

Scoop 1 - 1 ½ tablespoons of the chocolate chip mixture and form into balls, then roll the balls in the powdered sugar.

Refrigerate the truffles for at least 1 hour before enjoying.
