A classic Spanish cocktail popular in Mexico, the carajillo is made with espresso and Licor 43 and is the perfect afternoon or after-dinner cocktail that can be enjoyed hot or cold.

In an Old Fashioned glass, pour 1 ½ to 2 ounces of Licor 43 over ice.

Slowly pour freshly brewed espresso over the top. To float the espresso for a layered look, pour gently over the back of a spoon and serve with a cocktail stirrer.

Try this Carajillo recipe, a Mexican after dinner drink! The mix of bitter coffee and sweet vanilla notes of Licor 43 is perfection.

Carajillo (Licor 43 Spiked Coffee)

ounces* espresso (or very strong coffee), cooled slightly

Ice, ice)

Add ice to lowball. Add the Licor 43 and stir. 

Slowly pour the coffee over a bar spoon into the drink, which will settle on top. Serve immediately. 

Love this, I was actually looking to see if I can find a variation on the Licor 43 con leche. I like to add cinnamon to mine. Hope to hear what anyone else adds to their 43 con leche. Wepa!
