This lotion bar recipe is great for everyone, especially those with dry or cracked skin. You only need 3 ingredients to make them!

Lotion Bar Recipe with Healing Coconut Oil

coconut oil (example: 4 ounces)

shea butter or cocoa butter (example: 4 ounces)

Essential Oils (Lavender & Frankincense are my favorite oils to use)

Heat coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswax together in a saucepan over low heat. It helps if you break up the beeswax into small chunks because it takes a while for the wax to melt. You can also use beeswax pastilles, which will melt faster. 

Once the beeswax, coconut oil, and shea butter are melted, add essential oils. I like to use vanilla and lavender. I&#8217;m sensitive to strong fragrances so I only add 10-15 drops per 2 ounces of oil.

Pour melted coconut oil and beeswax into lotion bar molds or muffin tins.

Let them sit until cool. You can also place them in the refrigerator if you need to speed up the process.

You are not eating the bees...you are using a gift the bees made for you.

I have to respond to this.  Vegans eat honey and anything that is a natural by product and the honey and wax is ethically collected.  Bees around the world are in such decline because the bees have contracted a bug (sorry, I can't recall if it's a virus or insect) that bee-keepers (apiarists) now transport their bees in huge trucks built specifically for this purpose.  They are then driven right around the USA when the crops are ready to be fertilized by the bees.  All crops depend on the bees for their pollination.  It's actually of major concern around the globe because all countries rely on the bees for all produce to feed their people, and to export to countries that don't grow enough for their needs.  So you can extrapolate from this, that there is no way these bees aren't well cared for, because they are quite literally, worth their weight in gold.
I believe that Australia is the only country in the world where the bees remain uninfected, with the possibility of New Zealand, which is why we have such extremely strict quarantine regulations.  This makes bees extremely valuable, and very molly coddled because the whole world relies on bees to pollinate their crops both for their own consumption, as well as for exports.  
To clarify the position, you could say that vegans don't eat anything with blood.  This means that they don't eat anything that has been acquired from an animal that has either been bred, farmed or hunted, which is why they don't eat anything from animals, birds or seafood, so to simplify the matter, it's from anything that has blood and has been bred and has killed purely to be eaten (for table).  
If you are a vegan, then you rely on bees to pollinate the grains that you eat in the place of meat.  Bees are NOT bred or killed either for, or while collecting their honey or wax, and the honey and wax are collected humanely.  Without the bees, there would be no plants, so for your argument to be taken further, the everything that a vegan eats has been collected from the product of bees.   
The cost of buying bees in order to start a hive is the biggest outlay that a bee-keeper has, if he is to start his business in the first place.  
In order the collect the honey &amp;/or wax, the hive is first smoked so that they bees leave the hive.  Depending on the time that you've been vegan, you may have done yourself a grate disservice by not eating anything that's derived as a byproduct of bees.  I'm sure that you will have been eating food that has included honey amongst their ingredients.  
It's ludicrous to even suggest that bees are killed when collecting the wax or the honey.  
Vegans don't consume anything from cows milk, is because like humans, cows need to give birth in order to keep the cows producing milk.  What many people either don't realize, or forget, is that  any bulls born to the cow are kept for a short time to build up their weight.  They are then sent to the slaughterhouse and sold by their live weight.  The whole carcass is then totally processed for their meat, bone, marrow, pet food, glue, leather, etc.  Cows are rarely killed for meat while they are still producing milk because they are too valuable to the farmer for their milk.  It's the same with fowl.  Sea life is also killed for table.

The wax acts to seal in the moisture of the coconut. If you don't like the wax...just use coconut oil.

I have been looking for stuff like this and I'm so excited to try it. My daughter has eczama and it's hard to keep her skin hydrated. Now something she can use, (myself included) but natural as well...

Luv these for my skin because I have liver disease. So I have very dry skin.

Love these and I love coconut so much its really good for almost anything I am just so glad I can make these and will make as gifts for family and friends coconut is my nbf I do not know what id do without coconut oil you can use it for any part of your face and body too so skin stays moist and does not get dry
