<p><em>Mahi Mahi, otherwise known as Dorado, is deservedly a popular fish. When done right, mahi mahi is tender, flaky, and deliciously flavorful. This lemon garlic butter sauce is sensational. </em></p>

Easy Perfect Mahi Mahi Recipe 

For the Lemon Garlic Mixture:

TB salted butter, softened to room temp

TB chives

TB garlic cloves, minced

kosher salt

tsp black pepper

TB juice from fresh lemon

lemon peel

For the Fish:

olive oil

(1-inch thick each) mahi-mahi fillets, 4 ounces each

kosher salt and black pepper

Preheat oven to 400F with rack on middle position. In a small pan, combine all Lemon Garlic Mixture ingredients and stir to fully combine. Set aside.

Use paper towels to pat-dry all excess moisture from the fish fillets. This step is important, so be sure to pat off as much moisture as you can.

Evenly sprinkle both sides of fillets with pinches of kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Set aside. In a large, oven-proof pan, heat the olive oil over high heat. Once oil is sizzling hot, add the fish fillets to pan and let cook until browned on one side, about 3 minutes (do not move fish around much.) Carefully flip fish fillets over to the other side, turn stove burner off, and immediately transfer pan into already-hot oven. Let fish roast at 400F about 5 minutes or just until the top is golden and center is just cooked through. Take care not to overcook.

A minute before fish is done cooking in oven, cook small pan of prepared lemon-garlic mixture over medium high heat, constantly stirring, just until melted and bubbly. Immediately turn heat off and pour mixture over the cooked fish. Be sure to pour on any juices from the fish pan as well.

Made it. LOVED it! My daughter's not a lover of fish. She's usually anti-fish, but she asks for seconds when this sauce is involved. I just substitute different types of whitefish. Thanks so much!

This was absolutely delicious! I’m always unsure when it comes to cooking fish but this recipe was easy and tasty. It will definitely be a go to for me. My 13 year old son whose particular about fish, loved it! Btw I’m a fellow San Diegan:) going to try your fish taco sauce next. Thank you!

If I could give 10 stars i would. Delicious, had my 6 year old with his nose in the wondering what dada was cooking. I made cocktail winners and beans which he loves also incase he did not like it, we make him try everything new... well all he ate was fish. Said he wants it again tomorrow. Great recipe!  I did overcook the fish a little bit, but the lemon garlic sauce saved me!!  Very tasty!  I will definitely make it again, but pay closer attention :)

This Mahi Mahi recipe is THE BOMB! I’ve never cooked Mahi Mahi before. As a matter of fact, I only picked it up last week from the store because our usual Sockeye Salmon was out. 

Simply wonderful! The taste and texture of the fish in this recipe are spot on. I added a a tablespoon extra of fresh lemon juice because I didn’t want to waste the other half of the lemon, and served it on a bed of cous cous and roasted asparagus. 

Flaky. Fast. And Fabulous!

Having made this recipe for the first time, I am eating it as I type this review.  It is absolutely delicious and incredibly easy.  I used a thawed out MahiMahi filet purchased from Costco.  It is one of those recipes that at first bite makes you go, “Mmmmmmmm!!  OMG!”

We made this recipe for a cookout and it was just amazing! I had to share it with my friends. Can’t wait to try the mahi tacos!

As the name implies, this is incredible easy to make. Although we love grilling, sometimes our afternoon summer thunderstorms require using indoor cooking  methods, this was perfect. It was quick so we didn’t heat the house up too much.  The lemon is a nice compliment but didn’t overpower the fish. The recipe was made with simple ingredients most people have already. 

I served with steamed broccoli and mashed cauliflower to keep it low carb.

This is my new favorite way to cool Mahi. It’s incredibly flavorful, easy and quick. The garlic butter mixture seeps into the fish as well as whatever side dish is on the plate and it’s perfectly cohesive. I follow the timing exactly and it comes out golden and flaky each time. Have made twice now and many times to come!

It was a little overdone. I would try 3 or 4 minutes in the oven.

Fantastic recipe. I made 1/2 for sauce for 2 of us. Very good flavor, not overwhelming with garlic or lemon. Nicely balanced. Quick and easy to make. I think would work well with other fish as well.

This is so simple and delicious. I added a little white wine to the lemon juice and simmered it to thicken. Definitely a keeper.

Love this recipe. it was fast and easy. I did everythhing stated, but  I didnt have aspearagus so I used Brocollini and added mushrooms and onion.... Out of this world wonderfu!!!!

Very easy and delicious. If you have no sense of smell, it only takes about 30 seconds for the garlic aroma for the sauce. My family and I think the lemon taste is too strong and lacked the garlic. Therefore I suggest using fresh garlic and only one lemon (Half in slices and half for juice). I did not have Asparagus so I made a side of White Rice and a side of green beans.

Really lemony....and I sautéed the lemon quite a while. Be careful not to overcook the fish. Timing is dependent on filet size and pan temp. My son really liked the dish, my husband would prefer I do not make it again.

This was a fast quick for dinner.  The garlic of 3 cloves combined with the citrus lemon was tart.

I love this recipe I had to make some adjustments due to the size of the mahi mahi my wife and I had but it was awesome. Out side of the adjustment I had to make i followed all of the steps and ingredients and it turned out to be the best I've had and that even includes restraunts that make it daily.

It's not often that I find an online recipe that's this good! I was able to use all ingredients and they were perfect... I also added a little white wine to the lemon juice... and I threw in some shrimp... yummy! It's a keeper and will check this site again!

you have to let the  lemon simmer before putting the fish back in  other wise it will be to  lemony.

Parmesan Herb Baked Mahi Mahi is the best baked mahi mahi recipe EVER. I would even go as far to say this the best FISH recipe ever. It is THAT good!

Parmesan Herb Baked Mahi Mahi

Mahi Mahi filets

garlic (crushed)

Good Seasons Zesty Italian Seasoning

Greek yogurt

mayonnaise

Parmesan cheese

breadcrumbs

salt and pepper (to taste)

lemon (to taste)

Marinade

Place Mahi Mahi in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag. Combine marinade ingredients and pour into bag with mahi mahi. Press out air, seal, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Combine

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a small mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and salt &amp; pepper. Remove mahi mahi from bag and discard marinade.

Spread

Place mahi mahi on a greased 9x13 baking dish and spread yogurt mixture evenly over the top of each filet. Optional: Sprinkle extra breadcrumbs evenly over each filet for an extra crispy topping.

Bake

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until cooked through and topping is golden brown.

Easy Mahi Mahi Recipe with Lemon Garlic Sauce. A simple and wildly delicious way to prepare and serve this tender, flakey, and popular white fish.

Mahi Mahi Recipe with Lemon Garlic Sauce

(4-6 ounce) Mahi Mahi Fillets

salt (to season)

lemon pepper (to season)

lemon (thinly sliced)

lemon (juiced)

garlic (minced)

salted butter

capers (drained (optional))

parsley (minced)

Season the mahi mahi. Gently pat each mahi-mahi fillet dry with paper towels and generously season both sides of each fillet with salt and lemon pepper. Set aside.

Prepare the ingredients for the Lemon garlic sauce. Thinly slice one lemon and juice the other lemon into a small bowl so that you have approximately 4 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice. Mince the garlic and set it aside so that it is already ready for when it&#39;s time to cook the butter sauce.

Pan sear the mahi mahi. Add the olive oil to a large skillet set over medium-high heat. Once the olive oil is nice and hot, carefully add each fillet. Sear, undisturbed, until nicely golden brown on the bottom, and the sides are cooked just past halfway up the fillets, about 4 minutes depending on the thickness of your fish (the fish is cooked when it&#39;s no long opaque-looking). Flip and continue to cook on the other side until just cooked through, about 2-4 minutes more (mahi-mahi should reach an internal temperature of 137°F). Remove from heat and transfer fillets to a serving plate.

Prepare the garlic butter sauce. In the same skillet (or in a new one), heat the butter, lemon juice, and lemon slices over medium heat. Heat until the butter is melted and just starting to bubble. Stir in the garlic, reduce heat to low, and continue to cook for 1 minute, or until the garlic is lightly golden. Stir in the fresh minced parsley and drained capers (optional).
