Add all of the ingredients to a mixing...

Add all of the ingredients to a mixing bowl and stir well to coat.

Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Let set...

Combine first 9 ingredients in a jar, cover tightly, and share vigorously.  Set aside.

Cut cheddar cheese in half-length wise, then cut crosswise into 1/4 inch slices. Set aside.  Repeat with cream cheese.

Arrange cheese slices alternating in a shallow baking dish, standing slices on edges.&nbsp;

Pour marinade over cheese slices, cover and marinate in fridge at least 8 hours.

Serve with your favorite crackers, celery or french baguette!&nbsp;

Sliced cheddar cheese and cream cheese are topped with fresh herbs and sun-dried tomatoes, then soak in oil and vinegar to flavorful perfection in this Marinated Cheese recipe. An easy party appetizer!

cheddar cheese

block cream cheese (, chilled)

sun-dried tomatoes

red pepper flakes

Using a sharp knife, cut an 8 ounce block of cheddar in half lengthwise. Cut each half into 1/4-inch-thick slices to make squares of the cheese. Repeat with an 8 ounce block of chilled cream cheese.

Place the squares of cheese in a serving dish that is at least 1-inch deep, alternating the cheddar and cream cheeses. A 9-inch baking dish works well for this (make several rows from the cheese squares), or a deep-dish pie plate works if you prefer to arrange the cheeses in a spiral. Set aside.

Add 2 ounces finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes and 3 cloves minced garlic to a bowl or large measuring cup along with 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon finely chopped basil, 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh oregano, 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh thyme, 2 teaspoons honey, a pinch of salt, a pinch of red pepper flakes, 1/2 cup olive oil, and 1/4 cup white wine vinegar. Whisk to thoroughly combine.

Pour the marinade over the cheeses, spreading the sun-dried tomatoes and herbs evenly over the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Serve the cheeses in the dish you marinated them in or transfer to a serving platter, making sure to spoon the marinade over the top.

Serve with crackers or crostini.

This simple marinated cheese appetizer is made with cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and marinated in an herby vinaigrette. Delicious served alongside crackers or pita chips!

lb block cheddar cheese

(8 oz) block cream cheese

red wine vinegar (white wine vinegar works too)

basil (chopped)

parsley (chopped)

onions

(2 oz) jar diced pimentos (drained)

garlic (minced)

tsp sugar

tsp salt

In a medium mixing bowl, combine olive oil, vinegar, herbs, green onion, garlic, pimentos, sugar, and salt. Mix to combine, then set aside.

Cut your block of cheddar cheese and block of cream cheese in half lengthwise, then into 1/4-inch slices to form squares. I got about 30 squares out of each block of cheese.

Arrange the cheeses in a shallow baking dish, alternating between the two varieties as you go. Once arranged, pour the marinade evenly over top.

Cover the dish with foil or cling wrap and transfer to the fridge to marinate for at least 4 hours or up to 3 days.

Serve alongside your choice of crackers or pita chips.

Colby-Jack cheese

In a large bowl, gently combine all ingredients except rosemary. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours and up to 24 hours.

Divide cheese and olive mixture between 6 glass jars (such as pint-sized Mason jars), making sure there's one garlic clove in each. Place a sprig of rosemary in each jar and pour remaining dressing into jars, dividing evenly. Store in refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Pre-made this last night to put out for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Of course I had to sneak a preview sample... amazing! Now I just need to stay out of it until tomorrow!!
