This is the best, easy tuna steak marinade! All you need is a few simple ingredients and 30 minutes to infuse your tuna steaks with deliciously bold flavor - zesty, with fresh herbs, garlic, a hint of sweet honey, and savory spices.

Best Tuna Steaks Marinade Recipe

tuna

olive oil

honey

garlic

cilantro

parsley

salt

cumin

½ teaspoon coarsely cracked black pepper (or ¼ teaspoon ground pepper)

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

juice of half a lemon (about 2 tablespoons)

Combine all of the marinade ingredients and whisk vigorously.

Place tuna steaks in a gallon ziploc bag. Add the marinade, toss to coat the tuna steaks, press out excess air and seal (if using ziploc bag).

Transfer to the fridge and chill for 30 minutes.

Grill 6-8 minutes on each side until easily flaked with a fork and center of tuna steak is just barely pink. Internal temperature should read 90-95 degrees when done.  Alternately, steaks can be seared in a skillet over medium-high heat, or broiled in the oven at 400 degrees.

OMG this was a hit for dinner tonight. My husband said it was the best tuna he has ever eaten. It came together effortlessly. Will have this recipe more often this summer. Paired with griddle corn on the cob and a green salad

Wonderfully delicious! Only used one fat garlic clove and the bits and bobs of parsley and coriander from the garden.  Used a ridged griddle and cooked it a tad too long. However, the result was great and will be better next time. I served it with creamy mashed potato and broccoli.

Great marinade, my only gripe is the timing. Definitely got overcooked. Probably 3 minutes per side in a medium-high heat. Despite that it tastes wonderful.

OMG to die for. I love fresh tuna medium rare to rare seared. This recipe with its marinade added a wonderful bit of flavor without overpowering the delicious tuna. I used fresh Carrot greens instead of parsley. I pan seared it in butter. Then I use the scrapings from the pan to add to my baked potato with sour cream. Finished with raisin pie. Now I feel like I'm in heaven. My wife of 64 years died last November and she was a wonderful cook. I've been looking for easy to follow delicious recipes to try to fill the gap. This definitely is a winner.

so I tried to make your lemon cream sauce, and I made it to lemony so I added honey and it mild it out not bad the more I use to make I will perfect it, Thank you

My wife would say that tuna tasted bland her, "not much taste."  For tonight's grilled tuna,  I made this marinade and voila, she said it was awesome.  Thank you!
