This super-speedy Meatball Pasta Bake recipe uses ready-made meatballs for a quick win. It’s so delicious and is a dead-cert favourite for the whole family.

Meatball Pasta Bake {30 Minute Meal}

tsp Sunflower oil

Meatballs

Onion (Peeled and chopped)

Cloves of garlic (Peeled and chopped)

300 g Mushrooms (Sliced)

tomatoes

tsp Chilli flakes

tsp Sweet smoked paprika

750 ml Vegetable stock

tbsp Tomato puree

Pasta

g Mozzarella

Sea salt and black pepper

In a large grill proof, deep frying pan (a saute pan) heat the sunflower oil over a medium heat.

Add the meatballs and pan fry for about 5 minutes until starting to colour all over.

Add the chopped onion, garlic and mushrooms and fry for a further 5 minutes until the vegetables are starting to soften and the meatballs are browned all over.

Add the tomatoes, chilli, paprika, vegetable stock, tomato puree, dry pasta and plenty of salt and pepper. Give everything a good stir, put the lid on, reduce the heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring regularly, until the pasta is cooked through and the liquid is absorbed.

Preheat your grill to medium. Sprinkle the cheese over the top of the pasta and pop under the grill to melt the cheese - about 5 minutes.

I was looking for a great one pot idea for dinner and this one is ideal. I will probably add a few vegetables to and use some frozen mushrooms which I will mince.

We tried your meatball pasta bake... yummy! One of the first recipes I have followed that come out as tasty as the reviews suggest. Myself and my son who is very hard to please really enjoyed your meal we added in one chili. I also took the advice of courgettes and some pointed peppers. We will definitely be visiting this recipe again I can't believe how well the sauce came out; nice that consistency not watery. 5*

I've made this with "home made" meatballs, in the form of sausages cut up, removing their skins and rolling in to balls. Bit more of a faff, but tasty.

This is a great recipe! I changed it quite a bit though if I'm honest. The original plan was to substitute the mushrooms for courgettes but I went a bit overboard with the veg and also added an orange pepper and some grated carrot! I put in an extra tin of tomatoes because of all the extra veg (which I think I maybe didn’t need tbh). I also left out the chilli flakes. It was super delicious though, I will be making it again! Thank you for yet another successful dinner!!

Made this last night and eneded up having a guest round. It was a massive hit and worked so well as a one pot dish where everyone can serve themselves. I was told it was better than going to a restaurant! Loved it!

This easy cheesy pasta bake is loaded with meatballs, pasta sauce, rigatoni, and mozzarella cheese for an EASY dinner that will feed a crowd!  Using just 7 simple ingredients you can make this meatball casserole quick and easy!

Meatball Pasta Bake

oz rigatoni pasta

Italian seasoning

marinara sauce

oz Italian style meatballs

parmesan cheese

ricotta cheese

mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350˚F.

Cook pasta per package direction to al dente.

Combine the ricotta cheese and Italian seasoning.

Spread about 1 cup of the  sauce in the bottom of a large casserole dish. Dollop half of the ricotta on the bottom of the dish, lay half the meatballs, and sprinkle half of the parmesan cheese.

Mix the pasta with two cups of sauce. Pour the pasta mixture into the casserole dish. Top with the remaining ricotta cheese, meatballs, parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese.

Bake covered for 45-55 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the casserole is heated throughout.Optional- Remove the cover for the last 10 minutes to let the cheese brown around the edges.

Made this last night for the family-everyone liked it. Easy and yummy!

So easy and delicious! Have made several times and it really does feed a crowd! Also a great recipe to take a meal for someone in need.
