How to Make Easy Mint Sauce

Place the mint in a bowl and add 1 Tablespoon of the vinegar. Give it a stir and it should be a thick consistency, like in the photo. If you need a little more vinegar, add a little at a time until you are happy with the thickness. You should be able to have a blob of mint sauce on a teaspoon without it being watery.

Once you are happy with the balance of taste, place in the fridge (minimum 30 minutes) until you are ready to use. It will keep in an airtight container or covered with plastic wrap for a few days.

These Sous Vide Lamb Chops are ultra tender and juicy and served with the most incredible homemade mint chimichurri that you won&#039;t be able to stop eating!

Sous Vide Lamb Chops with Mint Chimichurri

lamb chops

olive oil

black pepper

lemon juice

Salt & pepper

mint (packed)

parsley (packed)

shallot

red pepper flakes

red wine vinegar

Heat a water bath to 131F degrees with your sous vide.

Rub the lamb chops with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Add the lamb chops, smashed garlic and lemon juice to a vacuum seal bag or a high quality freezer bag.

Use a vacuum sealer or the water displacement method (see above in post) to remove all the air from the bag.

Place in the preheated water bath and cook for 2 hours. Remove and plunge bag into an ice bath until ready to sear.

Remove the lamb from the bag and pat it dry on all sides. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

Heat a skillet over high heat until it starts to smoke.

Place the lamb in the pan and cook for 1 minute per side, until a crust forms.

Remove from skillet and serve with mint chimichurri.

Combine all ingredients except the olive oil in a food processor and pulse until everything is chopped. You want it to be slightly chunky, so it doesn&#039;t need to be totally blended.

Stir into the olive oil and serve with the lamb chops.

Mint Chimichurri

This Cilantro and Mint Sauce is quick and easy to make in just 5 minutes, and full of bright, zesty, and spicy flavors! It’s wonderfullycreamy, and is delicious as a dip, spread, and dressing!

Cilantro and Mint Sauce (Creamy!)

Coriander (Cilantro) – washed and pat-dried

Mint Leaves – washed and pat-dried

Mayonnaise (full-fat is best)

TBLS Greek Style Yogurt (optional –

½ TSP ground Cumin

½ TSP ground Cayenne (optional), to taste

¼ TSP Kosher Salt,

2-3 TSP freshly squeezed Lime Juice,

Prepare the fresh ingredients

Wash and pat-dry the coriander and mint leaves. Roughly chop the green chilies and garlic cloves if your blender is not very powerful.

Blend

Combine the coriander, mint leaves, green chilies, garlic, mayonnaise, Greek style yogurt (if using) ground cumin, ground cayenne, kosher salt, and lime juice in a high-speed blender or food processor. Cover and blend until smooth. (You may need to uncover and push down the ingredients and stir with a spoon 1-2 times in between if you’re blender is not very powerful.) Taste and stir in more kosher salt or lime juice if needed.

Serve

Use immediately or transfer to a sealed airtight container and store in the fridge until ready to use. Enjoy in kebabs, kathi rolls, salads, sandwiches, burgers, tacos, and use as a dip, spread, or dressing.

Storing

Store in a sealed airtight jar/container in the fridge and consume within 5-7 days.

You will thank me and mother nature once you try the fresh mint sauce! There’s simply not a better pairing for lamb, and once you’ve tried this, there will be no going back to mint jelly, or any other condiment for your lamb! Comes together quickly and easily.

Mint Sauce Recipe

sugar

white wine vinegar, champagne vinegar, or sherry vinegar

mint leaves, finely chopped

In a small bowl or little jar, dissolve the sugar and salt in the vinegar.

Add the mint and stir well, or shake the jar vigorously.

Allow the sauce to steep for at least one hour before serving.

This sauce was amazing on my lamb steak! My only complaint is that it's runny. Tonight, I'm going to mix it into some butter to make a compound butter to melt onto the lamb. Definitely easy and delicious!!

Since Cross and Blackwell stopped producing mint sauce, I've been anxious to find a substitute. This recipe is great but needs to steep all day or over night. It took more sugar than I thought. I'm glad to have this recipe as we love lamb.

Reminds me of the mint sauce my dad used to make way back when. Second time using it and it’s perfect! I added a little more sweetness with brown sugar.
