This is a classic cake that any budding baker would be proud to master. It involves making your own custard from scratch but don't worry, with this foolproof method, you can't go wrong. If you don't have any fresh passionfruit, it's ok to use canned.

tsp vanilla extract

eggs

(2 cups) self-raising flour

160 milliliters (2/3 cup) milk

Whipped cream, to serve

500 milliliters (2 cups) milk

(1/2 cup) caster sugar

(1/4 cup) cornflour

tbsp passionfruit pulp

(1/2 cup) bought passionfruit curd

(1 cup) icing sugar

2-3 tbsp passionfruit pulp

2.50 gm Mixed Spice

(12/3 cups) self-raising flour, sifted

milliliters (1/3 cup) milk

(1/2 cup) plain flour

(1/3 cup) self-raising flour

(1/3 cup, firmly packed) brown sugar

1.25 gm Cinnamon Ground

cold butter, finely chopped

pecans, finely chopped
