These Crispy Pork Carnitas are made in the Ninja Foodi in less than 1 hour. Pressure cook them to tender and crisp them up all in one device.

Ninja Foodi Recipe: Crispy Pork Carnitas

lbs pork butt (chopped into 2 inch pieces)

tsp kosher salt

oregano

tsp cumin

orange

onion

garlic

chicken broth

Place pork, salt, oregano, and cumin in Ninja Foodi pressure cook insert. Combine making sure the seasonings are covering the pork.

Take the orange and squeeze the juices over the pork. Put the squeezed orange in the insert, along with the onion, garlic cloves, and ½ cup chicken broth.

Cover the Ninja Foodi with the pressure cooker cover, ensuring the valve is set to seal. Set the Ninja Foodi to High Pressure and cook for 20 minutes.

Once the 20 minute timer is complete, do a quick release by switching the valve to vent. Once all the pressure is released, open the lid and remove the orange, onion, and garlic cloves.

Set the Ninja Foodi to satué and select md:hi. The liquid will begin to simmer. Allow the liquid to cook until it reduces, about 10-15 minutes.

Once the majority of the liquid has reduced, press stop on the Ninja Foodi and then close the Ninja Foodi Air Crisp lid.

Select Broil and adjust the time to 8 minutes.

Once complete, use the crispy delicious meat in tacos, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, etc. Top with cilantro or any of your favorite toppings.

Ninja Foodi Chicken Noodle Soup

butter (salted)

onion (medium-diced-about 1.5 cups)

celery (diced-about 1.5 cups)

carrots carrots (large-peeled and diced-about 1.5 cups)

garlic (minced)

chicken

salt

pepper

thyme (dried)

lemon juice

egg noodles (extra wide-dried)

bay leaves

saute

Turn Ninja Foodi on sauté on high.  Once the pot is hot, add butter  Once the butter has melted, add onions, celery, and carrots.  Saute and sit until onions become translucent and tender.

Add in garlic, chicken, salt and pepper, thyme and stir until all ingredients are well combined.

Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice.  Stir well.

add noodles

Pour in egg noodles.  DO NOT STIR.  Press the egg noodles down into the liquid as much as possible without stirring.

add bay leaves

Place the bay leaves on top of the egg noodles.  You will need to remove the bay leaves once the soup has pressure cooked so make sure that the bay leaves are on top. 

pressure cook

Close pressure cooking lid and make sure the valve is on the “seal” position.  Pressure cook on high for 3 minutes.

release pressure

When timer beeps, slow-release pressure for 3-5 minutes and then quick release remaining pressure.  The slow release of pressure is used to help make sure that the liquid does not come out of the release valve.  Oftentimes, when cooking soup or any recipe with a lot of liquid, the liquid can come out of the valve if you immediately do a quick release.  Remove bay leaves.  Serve and enjoy!

C (480 grams) Low Sodium Chicken Broth

C (227 grams) Fat Free Greek Yogurt

C (56 grams) Cheddar Powder**
